Why does it have to be maintained so well? Does anyone play on it all ie Sunday sides or kids games?

Didn't they have some agreement re funding that they had to keep the pitch upto standard that's why it never been demolished?

I'm sure I've read somewhere that grassroots teams use it.

Not counting Bury as the Ground is there even if the team isn't!

Some great grounds which were full of character and some right dumps too!

18, too much of a chore to type them out.

Included Ninnian Park and Chester in that, assuming the grounds weren’t rebuilt on original location.

Yes, Cardiff’s new stadium was built across the road from Ninian Park which is now covered in houses. Ninian Park was a horrible ground but holds some good & bad memories.

I'm sure we played Scarborough in the 80s in a friendly and I don't think their ground exists but can't remember the name of it.

Wasn't something like The McCain stadium, or is that a newer ground?
