With two exceptions, every club in the football league has built a new ground or at least one new stand in the last 30 years.

QPR last built a new stand in 1981.

The other exception is us, we haven't built a new stand since 1965.

i certainly dont remember the grandstand being there in 65 .......and when i went on the kop back  theni i stood up  got pizz wet thru .....

Old Wembley - vs Pigs

Highfield Road x2 - Coventry City

Griffin Park - Brentford

Nene Park - Rushden & Diamonds

Belle Vue - Doncaster Rovers

Saltergate - Chesterfield

Millmoor - Rotherham United

Layer Road - Colchester United

Don Valley Stadium - Rotherham United

Also been to Upton Park but that was to see West Ham v Rotherham.

What was the score West ham v Rotherham and why go all the way to London have you got Millers mate's, only asking cos I have and if it's a ground I haven't been to and we aren't playing I would go.

I think West Ham won 2-1. Went with a mate whose a Millers fan. We went to Wednesday match on the Friday night then went down to West Ham on the Saturday. It was when they were last in the league above us.

I remember that, I think Richie Barker scored for the Millers

This was the game - https://www.11v11.com/matches/west-ham-united-v-rotherham-united-31-january-2004-18564/

Yes we drew with Wycombe. A bit of a random game for sky to have picked back then when they barely showed anything below the championship.

I know what you mean. We spent money on the kop roof in 1986, and re-profiled the terrace to bolt some seats on and behind pillars in 1993. We then extended the South stand and did a good job. But this was refurbishment and extension. Not actually building a new stand that I feel the kop could have been in 1993 and the West stand should have been asap after April 1989.

Every other football league club has built at least one new stand in the last 30 years except QPR.

It's nearly 60 years since we did.

Correct - Twerton Park in Bath - still used by Bath City

Won 1-0 with a Trevor Francis goal in 1990 - 9th game of the unbeaten run at the start of that cup/promotion winning season.

There was a great Chippy just outside the ground !

So was I. They built a temporary stand - it was flippin' scary!!!
