I hitched it to Scarborough in the late 60s to see our reserves. Only got to York, then caught a train.

 

The Owls were so surprised they brought me and my friend back on the team bus.😀

It's  amazing how many clubs have moved to new grounds in the last 30 years or so. Some from very famous grounds. I think it's time we also moved to a better stadium.

With two exceptions, every club in the football league has built a new ground or at least one new stand in the last 30 years.

QPR last built a new stand in 1981.

The other exception is us, we haven't built a new stand since 1965.

Not doubting you for one minute but I can't recall us playing at Eastville, I only remember back to mid 70's and then not very well.

Saltergate  - reyt crush getting in when exit gates gave way/kicked in/got opened.

Belle View - tripped up on all the weeds growing through the broken concrete terracing
