Popular Post areNOTwhatTHEYseem
It still rankles, doesn't it? Not so much the loss on the day, but the complete clusterfuck which followed. We did brilliantly that season. At the final whistle, it really felt like the start of something rather than the end. But little did we know that the season which had given us such hope had also given our chairman a a rush of blood to the head which was about to rip our club to shreds. We'd reached base camp. All that was needed was sensible, sustainable investment to keep us on the right path. Instead, we necked the two weeks' oxygen supply in one go, made a mad dash for the peak in a blizzard, and forgot to take any of the safety equipment with us. By the time mountain rescue brought us down, ashen-faced and gasping, we were lucky to still be alive. 17 3

TrickyTrev
Carlos absolutely bottled it. We went there with the same game plan he always seemed to approach big games with and that was to be negative because he was s**t scared of losing. The thing was, at the start of the season nobody expected us to be anywhere near the playoffs so why not just go for it? Did we even have a shot on target the whole match? I’m struggling to remember one if we did. He should’ve been sacked at the full time whistle.

Forestieri then got fouled by Dawson who got booked (Dawson that is) with only about 15 mins gone? After 20 mins, it was one way traffic. Robertson I think missed an absolute sitter for them early 2nd half

I think I'm safe in saying that we have absolutely no chance of winning the play offs this year. Next year maybe Anyway sod the play offs, I hate them. We haven't turned up for our last 5 play off games. We have to be top 2 next year.
Holmowl
When we saw FF partnering Hooper up the middle I knew the best we could hope for was a nil-nil. Hooper had scored 4 all season partnering FF. FF had scored none partnering Hooper. Carlos either hadn’t spotted it, or thought that it would somehow turn around and work against an excellent Hull side. Should have started either Nuhiu-Hooper or Joao-Hooper, with FF wide. Threw away our ace card.
beswetherick
If we’d won I’m not sure I would’ve made it back to Sheffield in one piece. Think I’d still be píssed up in Wembley car park singing Carlos had a dream
