@owlstalk
”Owl coin” (silver tetradrachm) struck in Athens between 480 and 420 BCE. In Greek mythology, the little owl (Athene noctua) was the companion of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and the patron of the city of Athens. ~Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon. © Marie-Lan Nguyen 1 2 3 Owlstalk Shop

Athelwulf
This is no word of a lie, I swear it. Shortly before the play-offs I was walking locally at dawn and I saw something out of the corner of my left eye. It was a barn owl, and it landed on the guttering of the house I was approaching. It never made a sound, bold as brass, with a round face like a clock. I walked past the house and I thought to myself that it might be a lucky omen. If you want to understand ancient Greek, the best tip is to write it in Georgian and then google translate to modern Greek. If the translation seems off in the context, then using the dialect of the Cappadocians helps but watch for the silent letters. Try that.

I used my limited NT Greek to identify the letters then used Google Translate.

Close, but not quite (playoff semi?) That's "Psichi mou" (my spirit), this is "Spiti mou" (my home)

Thanks for the correction I really love ancient Greek and the way it gives us so many words.
