“The offer was sent to Sheffield Wednesday… We wait for the answer.” Club Atlético Talleres have submitted a bid for #SWFC’s Josh Windass -

@AlexMiller91

understands it to be around the same £1m mark that Millwall tried last summer. https://thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/josh-windass-sheffield-wednesday-receive-bid-from-club-atletico-talleres-3712694…

£1 million doesn’t get you very much these days.

Depends if his wages are high or not I suppose.

Out of contract in a years time so it’s a fair offer even more so when he’s been injured for the best part of a year.

Seems a fair offer for a player that didn’t play 10 games last season and has 12 months left on his deal.

You’d have to assume this is going to get done, far too much noise has come from Talleres so you’d assume they’re hearing the right things from Windass’ side. Windass’ agent is in Argentina or has been at least, so you would assume he knows what Wednesday are willing to accept.

Hopefully gets done.

I do worry in 12 months when he leaves for nothing we will all be saying “we should have took that £1m and reinvested it”.

In the Championship it’s probably not worth the hassle. However in L1 that amount could buy you 2 decent players.

£1m is a tempting offer if true. Not many players approaching 30 and playing in league one get sold for that much, especially when they’ve just had nearly a whole season out injured and are in the last 12 months of their contract.

Sounds likely to happen, so hopefully we can squeeze another couple of hundred grand out of them. Then it’s all about the calibre of the replacement

Would be tempted to sell for a million for a player out of contract the following season. We could probably buy one or 2 good league one players for that money. Can’t imagine Chansiri will accept though.

Have we rejected it ??

No, but if history tells you anything we reject the offer. Let his deal run down, either way he has a good or bad season and most likely leaves for nothing.

Is it cash up front?
