My thoughts on Camara

Looks a great player, but will cost a few quid to get out of Plymouth , especially regarding there stance on selling to a rival

Great engine, and capable of bagging a few goals

If the kind of money to get Camara out of Plymouth is available, I just wonder if it would be better spent on a striker or a central defender ,  I think with Bannan , FDB , Adeniran and George Byers we’ve got options already in central midfield and better ones than we’ve got upfront , certainly better than at centre half

Luongo will need replacing and can’t underestimate what he brings to the team. Camara fits the bill. But I think he’ll go to a Championship club.

Take your point,  I’ve a lot of faith in FDB becoming that box to box midfielder for us , and Adeniran has shown promise

Listen Camara is a great player though, fantastic engine and would replace Luongo I just wonder if we need to replace Luongo as much as we need to strengthen at centre half and upfront , I also agree with you though and think he will get a championship move and most likely Preston back with Ryan Lowe

If Luongo stays we’re ok in CM. We could do with another number 10 so we’re not so reliant on bannan.

Spend the dosh on a striker

Apparently we're keeping a close eye on the situation at RUFC where Michael Smith has yet to agree new terms. Just what we need IMO.

Yep good signing if we can get him in. Would probably see us done for out and out strikers?

Smith would be just what we need as he can do the target man role but also knows how to finish and has a bit of pace. I could see us being in for him as we would pay championship wages to him but it’s whether he’d drop back down. Suspect a higher championship club will take him.

Wasn't last season a flash in the pan for him....his only really good goal scoring season?

Doesn't that make him a risk?

Michael Smith would be a top signing. Brilliant target man at this level and an absolute work horse.

My only concern is he’s 30 and unlikely to stay with Rotherham due to finances. Meaning he’s like looking for a decent wage and likely a 3 year deal.

Apparently Angus Macdonald from Rotherham may be a good signing Barnsley fans liked him and did ok at Hull, both in championship but had cancer and another issue, crones disease or something but he's fully recovered now so why not give him a chance won't cost us a fee.

You don't recover from Chron's. It's a lifetime illness with no cure.

You can however go into remission.

Sorry, I suffer with the Chron's disease and I just had to correct this lol

Pre  pandemic we played a pre season game at Northampton , Smith played up front and looked raw but was what we needed at that time . Fast forward to the League 2 playoffs this last season and the player that impressed me was Mitch Pinnock of Northampton against Mansfield.  Tall, athletic, quick feet and left footed . Add a long throw specialist and he would be at 27 a good squad player at least.

The Smith link is an interesting one

Does the player want to play championship football or is he looking for one last big contract?

At 30yr old ? Big contract 100%
