If we could get Brown and Sow of the books that would be fantastic

Yep, neither will be on big wages, but still budget which could be allocated elsewhere, given they're only likely to feature in pizza cup games.

Scott Twine gone to Burnley will be a big miss for MK Dons they will do well to replace him.

Re MK Dons, with about 4 million for Twine, much will depend on how they use the cash. At this level, that sum is huge.

Just read that Swindon have a 20% share of the 4 million, about 800K, so not quite as much to spend but still highly significant in this division.

Where do you get 4 million from?  All the media are saying undisclosed fee.

It might be 4m but it's never gonna be all up front anyway, there will be add ons.

Really wish we could have gotten Twine.

He got recommended on here last Summer when He was available on free transfer from Swindon. Sadly Wednesday was never club to "gamble" on such players and once they get a chance and prove themselves We can't afford them any more.

Did Swindon offer him a contract? if so a fee was due and we wouldn’t be allowed to pay it? I would like us to try and get some younger faces in this summer tho

Yes they did. It went to tribunal. Initial fee was 300k and then20% of a future sale.

We could not have acquired him as we were not allowed to buy players for a fee.

True but the same applies to buying clubs, they often do not have to put all the cash down at once but pay in instalments. On that basis this would not affect Dons ability to buy players  even if  they don't get all the cash at once.

Club not to blame here. He would have cost a fee. We weren't allowed to buy players last summer.

We did well to get the players we did given the restrictions TBF.

In season and half they lost O'Riley, Twine and Darling, arguably their best players and I can see them struggling a lot next season.

Kemp, Holland and Grant are all talented players but neither will turn them into promotion contenders and let's see how well Tucker replaces Darling.

Fine

Not sure if We were allowed to pay compensations for out of contract players.

Perhaps it can't be applied for transfer of Scott Twine, but critic still stands and it is mentality We will have to change in order to progress.
