CircleSeven
He’s a good defender and will do a decent job for some team I’m sure. But he really isn’t a ball playing defender and playing out from the back is what DM is going to have us doing for sure. So no point even considering him. Barnsleyowl1996
Perfect in the middle of a back 3. Obviously lacks pace but massive in the air , be a good set piece threat and probably chip in with goals . I’d take him for a year . We probably need to sign 4 cbs tbh .

DIPPS_S.W.F.C
Storey,Dean,Gibson. DM's dream 3... maybe.
oneeyedmilkman
I hope we don't persist with 3 at the back, but if we do it needs to be one of dean/flint ilk. The other two would need to be able to pick a pass and step into midfield with the ball when we inevitably play against 11 behind the ball. Gibson tbf when on the pitch was able to get up and down which would make a player like him an ideal wide centre back

Probably find Storey gets a chance at Preston or loaned to a lower end championship team. Someone like Rotherham might fancy it. I expect the links to Tucker are as a storey replacement. so maybe Tucker Dean/Flint Gibson With Iorfa, Palmer and Brennan as extra options Edited May 22 by Southie_Owl
kristmace
15 hours ago, brando said: Both..now stupidly Hutch has gone... I reckon we need to sign at least 4 centre halves this summer. We only have Iorfa, Brennan and Palmer who can play in the back 3 (aside from the emergency guys we've used this season like Johnson, Hunt, etc.... We need to avoid that happening again). legendaryswan
Flint started 35 leagues games in the season just ended, was subbed off a few times, 6 clean sheets in games hes played in, as youd expect strong in the air and positionally on the ground, not so great struggles to pass above 10 yards. Wouldnt be great defending high, has the pace of a school dinner lady ( or Jordan Storey), scored 6 goals and 2 assists which isnt too shabby, hes 33 in july, made team of the week 3 times, apparently missed FIVE clear chances but...created 3 as well, not a fantastic tackler, which is why he wears a headband. His last venture to play here ended abruptly, the concrete surface that is hillsborough isnt to everyones liking, but its getting relaid this summer with a new shagpile and underlay. And thats Flint season more or less in a nutshell
