Hunt leaving?

Hunt did well at RWB last season

Maybe we're cutting back further on wages.

If that is the case, we may have to cut our expectations accordingly

I doubt Hunt is on loads.

My preference is to keep him, but if we can bring in a younger right wingback then so be it.

Tbf, it's just a random tweet, so might not be anything in it.

A bit surprised at this if true, he was one of our better players, particularly in the second half of the season.

However we don't know whether it's the club that's decided not offer him another contract or if he's turned a contract offer down.

DM rested him a few times towards the end of the season so maybe the club think that at his age he's maybe not up to the rigours of a 46 match League 1 season given the wages he would command.

Agreed and he’s a far better player than Palmer (who I still think can be a squad member but no more)

I wouldn’t mind most/all of the team that finished the season staying/signing but realistically something has to change because we came up just short.

We do need to get that average age down too.

My preference would be to keep Hunt as I think he's a very good right wingback at this level.

But we do need to get some younger players into the building.

Do have one too many of the starting XI who are in or around 30.

He's the better of the 2 in the opposing half of the pitch but for me they're both no better than average defensively.

Nobody at that age is going to be happy being sub.

And I’m not sure having both wing backs over 30 is the way to go.

We definitely need to get a bit more athleticism in the team.

Been a good player for us. But we have to move on. We said we had a team capable of keeping us up, we were relegated. We said we had a team good enough to get promoted, we weren’t. The easy choice is to blame the manager. We need new players. The game has moved on, we neeeeeeeeeeed more legs in the team. We have an experienced spine, we now need to surround them with athletes and power.

Be a shame to lose Hunty again, I think he’s had a solid season and is a great attacking outlet for us at times

He may get offered a 1yr deal in Champ though I suspect,  Rotherham wouldn’t surprise me

Don’t get the love in

Had a decent season but we need better

Not the case at all.

He wasn't the reason we didn't go up, he had a great season.

The reason was our weakness elsewhere on the pitch and in the dugout.

Always a worry when the stronger performers exit and your plodders remain.

Wages an issue?

Seem more likely than us eyeing better options. Even if we found a younger option, Hunt would be very good to have around still.

Gives his all and never stops getting up and down the flank which is perfect for our wingback role. Very strange news this.
