Popular Post @owlstalk
I'll go first 1) Just send any players off who dive, waste time or cynically chop down players if they look like they can't catch up with them - to try and make it so football returns to 11 players a side playing football and not fouling or rolling round pretending to be injured etc 9 1 1 Owlstalk Shop
BridportOwl
2) Sort out injury time. When you have games with so many subs I am often amazed at how little injury is given. 6
Popular Post TrickyTrev
If a player goes down with a head injury, he should be made to leave the field for a few minutes while he’s assessed. This would put an end to players pretending to have head injuries in order to waste time or frustrate an attack but also, would mean players with genuine head injuries have a more thorough assessment before being deemed fit to play or not. 17 1
Popular Post CourteenerOwl
I always wondered why at throw ins and goal kicks a countdown on the screens can't immediately begin from 7 seconds - if they take longer then they lose the throw and get booked and if its a GK it becomes a corner and get booked. 13

danblakemore
Have more than 1 referee. Give referees microphones. Make VAR either mandatory at all matches, or get rid. 20 second rule for throw ins, once ball goes out, the player has 20 seconds to complete a throw in once the ball is available.
Beighton Owl 87
Cup football - games decided by penalties if level after 90 minutes. No extra time, no replays and no 2nd legs or away goals rule (although this may no longer exist in any of the competitions). This also includes European ties.

Point 4. 20 seconds seems a long time. Prefer my idea of 7 seconds
Popular Post S72 Owl
Stop the players pre match hand shake. Used to love it when players came sprinting out the tunnel towards the crowd to a big roar. 10

Guest DoesJackHunt
3. Blind fold all the players and the crowd can only shout; cold, warm, hot and very hot to help the players find the ball. 4. If the away team score then the goal scorer gets pelted with eggs by the home team before the re-start. 5. instead of extra time and penalties the team captains have to Sumo wrestle in the centre circle . 6. Instead of yellow cards, the ref dishes out bags of shopping which the players have to carry with them for the rest of the game.

Tamworthowl
Independent time keeping. Clock stops when ball goes out of play. 35 minutes of “ball in play” each half. Refs to apply the rules and book (send off) players for dissent, time wasting, shirt pulling. A few weeks of games descending into the chaos of 10 v 8 or so, and it’ll all settle down. Compulsory, club managed, pyro after each goal. Club managed = safe. Flares fired from top of S stand, smoke bombs popping up in the corners (a bit link the sprinklers). 4
HopefulOwl
Punish time wasting with free kicks given and not just a yellow card.
striker
Instant yellow card for anyone taking to the football field wearing gloves (who is not a GK). 3 1
mogbad
Any player who requires treatment should have to wait 5 minutes before returning to the pitch. Referees should grow a pair and use their yellow cards more for obvious time wasting and shithousery. Only captains are allowed to approach the referee. Anyone else gets a yellow card. Liverpool should be banned from all forms of football. 5

Freshfish
Give all officials a 'white spray can'. At throw-ins a line is marked. One foot either side and the only movement can be a walk/run up. If you deviate from that it's a straight yellow card.
