Popular Post HopefulOwl
Truly horrendous incident.. rivalries aside that was one of the most disgusting things I've seen a fan do... yet again brings up the topic of pitch invasions. Was only a matter of time unfortunately. Hope he gets what he deserves. 19

Sambo89
Was it seen on telly when it happened? Surely one camera at least picked it up, to make the police's job easier. All joking aside, in any other setting they wouldn't just run up to someone and attack them, because they'd get arrested straight away. So why do some fans think, because it's in a football ground, it's acceptable? Morons!
Popular Post crookesowl
This so called fan needs locking up for a long time and headlines made about it. Absolute bottom feeder. It won’t be long before fences are back up. This season has been awful in terms of bad behaviour. It’s now normal to throw things on the pitch or at players, run onto the pitch, throw flares and smoke bombs, and even confront players. It has to stop and the authorities and FA / EFL need to start handing out very harsh punishments for it to the clubs. 11

The moron just ran straight into Billy Sharp at speed and sent him flying -could have been seriously hurt when he fell, fingers crossed he’s OK

Morepork
Just listened to Heckingbottom...... Obviously nobody would condone what happened to Sharp and I'm sure the culprit will be identified and punished. I can't help but think the lack of control shown by Heckingbottom on the sideline and some of their physicality set the tone for something of this nature to happen. He couldn't control his own temper during the game so perhaps not best placed to condemn what happened. Doesn't excuse it in any way but everyone's actions have consequences. 3
Popular Post Devonstrix
It’s just sickening that we have Neanderthals like that Forest 'fan' wandering amongst us. We could have been looking at a much more serious outcome for Billy Sharp if he had smacked his head on the ground, given that the moronic 'supporter' ran at some speed and floored him with a pretty savage looking head butt. As it turns out, Sharp just needed stitches in his lip, which these days will probably just lead to a charge of abh, plus of course football related offences. That said, the maximum sentence for abh is 5 years and whilst he’s hardly likely to get that, I sincerely hope that he gets a significant custodial sentence. Anybody linking that violent assault to Heckingbottom's conduct needs to give their head a wobble by the way.

There should be no clouding of the incident by linking it tenuously with anything else. It was quite simply utterly disgraceful. 11

PTLiam
The worst thing was it was a sly one he didn't see coming. It could have really hurt him. Proper fat shitehouse

I get that but the only suitable comment now is complete, unequivocal and isolated condemnation of the assault. IMO.

All depends if they caught him last night in the clothes he did it in. if he binned the jacket somewhere it's gonna be hard to prove it was him. CircleSeven
It’s a bad incident and no doubt will have some fallout beyond just the bloke who did it getting some prison time. Undoubtedly there will be more scrutiny on pitch invasions and crowd behaviour in general. It definitely takes the shine off the win for Forest. .
twolaptops
Lack of real deterrents is the issue.............too many "slap on the wrist" punishments dished out by out of touch judges....the "real world" is now more % populated by dangerous delinquents who walk freely amongst us without fear of authority....

Will be all different types of camera on the guy throughout the ground. All that will be needed is time to go through the footage.
