The SWFC Legends weekend that's just happened

Gotta say what a brilliant weekend for Wednesday fans

Both the evening meal and the match the next day were bang on

The SWFC legends meal was cracking and the sheer amount of Wednesday legends in one room was unreal, and even better that every single one of them were loving everyone coming up and asking for photos and not once did they turn anyone away. They spend so long taking pictures with and talking to fans

And up on stage Rob Staton presented a funny Q&A with players from SWFC and the Czech side too with Des Walker surprisingly coming right out of his shell and stealing the show

Top night, top food, and I won a £20 shoe cleaning voucher

 

 

 

The next day the SWFC vs Czech legends match was just top fun.
Again the players all were mingling, signing things, having photos taken with the crowd and the match itself was top fun with some cracking goals, some funny moments and the sunshine beating down on the pitch making Hillsborough look fantastic

There were so many families there too - more women and kids than at any other match (percentage wise) and the day went really well and everyone seemed to absolutely love it

 

 

 

 

Carbone, Reda, Bullen, JP McGovern, Des Walker and co - all happy to spend time with fans

 

Ross Wallace was definitely man of the match for me - he ran round like an 18 year old!


All this was arranged and organised by Daniel Pudil and the SWFC Community team and it was just perfect

 

 

 

 

 

What I will also say is that whenever the club organises events like this, then Owlstalk will buy a table at the meals or a big bunch of tickets for the matches etc to give away to Owlstalk subscribers and readers 

Anyway - well done Daniel Pudil and SWFC Community - top TOP weekend!

I have one pair, that I bought 26 years ago, I wear them at funerals. 

 

All the rest of my footwear are either trainers, or Homer Simpson slippers.

I went to the evening meal and it was really good . Well organized danial and swfc . I enjoyed having my photo taken with all the ex players . Wish we could have more of these nights .

I took 2 of my grandsons ,tried to convince 1 what we saw in football but he was more interested in the mascots but myself and the other grandson thoroughly enjoyed it and i agree there should be more of these fun matches while raising money for charity

Went to the match and had a great time. I do think Carbone just stole MOM though. His fitness and skill levels were amazing for his age. And a mention to Reda who never disappoints on the entertainment front.
