I love Wednesday and am a happy go lucky optimistic kind of bloke.
But I understand that some people are miserable haters who like to moan about everything. But not one of those miserable moaning bastàrds has ever really given me cause for though. Let them moan! It’s no skin off my nose!

So you are moaning about the moaners, doesn't that mean you're one of them?

On second thoughts you seem to be tolerant of moaners despite the description as 'miserable haters' so perhaps my comment was a little unfair.

My own view is that there has been much to moan about over the past two decades but I take your point, some people are only happy when moaning.

I am fully tolerant of all fans whatever their views. Some fans do come across as miserable haters (IMO) but they pay their money to watch the team same as I do so they are more than entitled to their views. But it never affects my enjoyment and I say ‘let them moan’. For all I know moaning about Wednesday might be a emotional release that enables them to be a better person in other aspects of their life. 👍

Personally I like to boo referees. Even if they are ok. Because? Well, fûck em!

And some people just create pathetic threads like this, just to hate on the haters..

This thread has been created to help us to understand the haters and not to hate or offend the haters.

What is it that keeps you going? Why do you still support Wednesday, when you hate everything about it?

It's about understanding each other!

Hate.

Why does that word get thrown about so much.

Saying on a forum that someone needs to be replaced as they aren't hitting targets isn't hate.

Saying that you don't understand his substitutions isn't hate.

Saying you don't think he's the man to take us forward isn't hate.

Attacking people because their views don't align with yours?

Accusing people of racism, which can have serious consequences, because they don't agree with you?

Hmmmm. Sounds a lot more like hate to me.

I think some self reflection needs to happen around here.

Why don't you see the haters on the forum?

I don't believe that anybody calls YOU a hater.

I do love discussions and I do appreciate diffent opinions. That's what a forum is about.

Having an echo chamber would be horrible.

But haters without opinions are a different topic.

Is not 'You're just a hater' just as bad as 'Moore Out'?

Both are statements based on opinion, which don't advance the conversation.

I've spent a lot of time around the world dealing with actual hate and the consequences of it, not this new thing that takes any disagreement or criticism as hate.

The basis of discussion is to change opinions or to have your own changed.

Shutting down conversations or namecalling does neither, it just entrenches an us v them mentality and makes it worse.

"They resorted to this and don't have an argument so I must be right"

You can't change people by force.

When people get together and have reasoned discussion and shared experiences, see the similarities and shared value, that what beats hate, and racism and all the rest. See Rocky 4.

So, both sides stop it with the baiting, the 'haters', the 'happy clappers', it helps nobody.

Some of our fans hate just everything about the club

- the owner

- the manager

- Hillsborough

- the crest

- the players

- the pitch

- the groundsmen

- the home kit

- the away kit

- the lineup

- the formation

- the fellow owls

- our history

- our current status

- our future

- the matchday  experience

Isn't there anything you should like to support the owls? Or at least anthing you enjoy a bit?

and what about those corner flags.

So, both sides ...

The problem is that there are not TWO sides, but THREE.

- the more possitive people

- the more negative people

- the people wo do not provide any discussion, but just turn up to throw in a hateful sentence now and then

Haters are NOT he "negative" people or the "critical" people, but just who do not provide any discussion and just turn out to spread hate. Don't you see them?

Maybe moaners is more appropriate as hate is not a nice title to have, use or give.

Happy clappers is also OK says what it is,

And Realist also says what you are...

So Owls fans come under,

Happy Clappers...

Realists..

Moaners...

Just like every other club really..

I'm a Realist I think with a sprinkle of  Moaning clappy happy...

UTO...

So is every post on here that doesn't provide any discussion, but just turns up to throw in a derogatory sentence  now hate?

Why is it not hate when Pato gets called a binman, Kamberi and Brown not footballers? Chansiri, Dunkley, Wing, Green? They all get it worse than Moore.

But it's only hate on here when it's at Moore.

Jayden Brown started pretty well this season till he made a mistake leading to a goal in the pizza cup and missed a couple of sitters. Now his confidence is shot as everyone piled on.

Jack Hunt on the other side made more mistakes and missed more sitters, got dropped as RB, got subbed in the pizza cup because he was getting schooled by a Newcastle kid. He got a free ride, praised for 'getting into positions to score' when he missed, his mistakes leading to goals overlooked.

So are all the people involved in that racists? Haters?

For me it makes no difference, if the hate is towards DM, Pato, Kamberi, Brown or whoever.
