Bizarrely? He is in my opinion the best example of a utility player. If you read my original post my reference was to the fact we play him in numerous positions so has no relevance to your post. Goodnight

He's not been used properly this season IMO. He is Captain Chaos, not Super-Mac. We have had many physical games where he should have been shithousing around but usually stayed on the bench.

Depends how you look at it. A bit like Palmer in that he can cover various positions in emergencies and apparently not on silly money. As someone else said, cheaper than bringing in 3 or 4 backup players.

Not a fan of his. And the ‘good for morale’ line is apparently quite wide of the mark. He’s very marmite and has caused a fair bit of friction at times.

People talk about his physicality: he gives loads of fouls away and then appeals for fouls on him after he goes down more easily than a crack wh0re on Shalesmoor. He subsequently harangues the ref who has his card marked for the rest of the game.

He's a good squad player and can play anywhere...he gets stuck in  - I understand the Marmite thing - I think he's OK ( hate bloody Marmite tho'!!).

Callum Paterson has played at CF, RW, RWB, CB, DM, AM and probably more this season.

 

He's replaced people who train and play their singular roles day in day out, with a negligible loss of performance and little to no training or notice.

 

If he's not a footballer, neither is anyone else.
