No Dyche is an excellent manager. The point of the thread was laughing at someone being do delusional that they think he'd drop down to league 3 to manage up.

It does happen from time to time. A certain Alex Neil has just tore us a new one and used to work in the premier league

Listened with disbelief to one SUFC fan who wouldn’t attend the play off match because his disabled concession had increased to……..16 quid for the match

My guess is he will be going he just wanted to attention seek on a radio phone in.

Like basement jack said though it happened with Big Jack who also had a big reputation and yes Dyche may not want to drop down but back in the day who would have thought big Jack would have dropped down 2 divisions at the time, I certainly didn't 😉

Yes, but he didn't go directly from a premier league team to div 3. Neither did he prove himself as a successful Premier league manager. So hardly a comparison.

Ok Mark Hughes was successful in the premier league and went to league 2

Managed in the premier league last over 4 years ago and was getting progessively worse over time

Dyche will get another Premier League job if he wants one, Hughes wouldn't

He, and others, think because we are a big club with a big budget that success is automatic. We know from our history in the third tier that it's far from easy. We are a big scalp and the opposition find that extra 10% against us. Loads of big clubs haven't found getting out of this league easy.

To be fair he suggested Warne too (a top bloke IMO) but he's under nowhere near the pressure at Rotherham compared with SWFC.

Rotherham are the definition of a yo yo club, certain for relegation, again and will go back up the season after

Not sure where this “big budget” claim is coming from.

Without TV money our annual revenue is likely to be down to around £11m. With the ground repayments and overall running costs of the club/training ground/academy, we’ll be loosing millions before even a players wage is paid and we can forget about transfer fees, we won’t be paying them.

League 1 is a disaster for us financially and this season was the chance to bounce straight back up a start pocketing the £8-9m Championship tv/solidarity payments again.

I fear a long spell in this division, no matter who the manager is.

I didn't say he wouldn't. The guy said no one moves from the premier to league 1 so I gave him a few names

The only thing we know for certain is if we don't approach him he certainly won't be our manager
