Haaland - Going to Citeh

Recommended Posts

Got him for just over 60 million.

Obvs the wages will be substantial, but fair enough.

Talking about a world class striker who can be that for the next decade or so.

See the rivals of other top sides complaining. Why? They'd be creaming themselves if they had picked up this kid for 60 million.

Proper game changing signing though. It's also somewhat cool to see a genuine world class star move to the PL with their prime years ahead of them.

Brilliant signing. Can’t wait to see what he can do in England. Was reading something the other day saying he would sign for City and them move on to Real in a couple of years. Signed a 5 year deal though so hopefully that was wrong.

Wasn't his agent the recently departed Mino Raiola? Wonder what impact his passing has had.

Because according to Man United and Liverpol fans no other clubs are allowed to spend money.

Because those two clubs "make their own monry"

Indeed.

Also - all teams should turn up to Anfield and play how Jurgen Klopp wants them to do so.

Unreal signing for that money .

Still really young - best years in front of him.

Could end up breaking all kind of records at City with the chances they create.

Potentially Final piece of jigsaw for Champions League triumph next season .

It will be interesting to see whether he changes, or Man City do a little. In theory, it’s just swapping a rotating false 9 for more of a fixed central attacker (not that much of a change maybe) but in practice, their front 4/5 play interchangeably and they all have pass and cross stats like they’re genuine midfielders. Haaland ain’t that kind of player from what I’ve seen, though he’s freakishly talented so maybe Pep thinks he can adjust.

Be interested too in what release clause/s are in his contract to ensure he has his options open on a future Real Madrid move. Sounds like that’s very likely to happen in 2-4 years time, but what price do you put on what he’ll be worth then? £150m?

The one thing Citeh needed to be truly dominant, a striker.

Bet Kane is kicking himself!

Puts Kane in a really difficult position, I bet he definitely had his heart set on a move this summer.

Haaland is younger and cost almost halve the price - resale value as well, which Kane wouldn't have at his age.

This will be very interesting at City,  they will have to spend the summer looking at a different way of playing now. Maybe time for Sterling to move on? even KBD?

Certainly the likes of Gundogan, Silva and Mahrez will be interested in any offers from big clubs on the continent.

I think it will be Jesus who makes way. However, wouldnt shock me also if Grealish goes out on loan

Said on the radio this morning he's rumoured to be getting £350k a week possibly rising to £500k a week with add ons.

I think they'll be a worse side because of it

Not out of the question, if it upsets or unbalances the team.

This is purely to win the Champions League, and it wasn't a lack of striker that got them knocked out against Real Madrid was it?

Exactly my thoughts. They don’t suffer from a lack of goals.

This has a Zlatan to Barca under Pep kind of feel to it

Bought because they could rather than if they should

But I guess for the money it's a worthwhile gamble for them to stop him going elsewhere.

Harry Kane should be kicking his brother in the testicles every day for the rest of his life for failure to get him to City
