Bannan going will be a blessing.

Recommended Posts

Him and Gregory are both amongst the very best in the division.

But we need a hell of a lot more than these two to get promotion.

I find it almost unbelievable that any team coming to play us DOESN'T smother Bannan.   The key to stopping Wednesday is stopping Bannan... it works every single time.

Mr bannan is going nowhere next year.

Why do we need these constant utter balls threads?

£1.2m is his contract for next year as it was this year.

And he isn't highest earner at the club

Because then some may just see a team carried week in week out by a single player is going nowhere.

Am I wrong?

If you want to see us in League 1 forever, then yes, you’re wrong!

Yes, let's get rid of our best player, one of the best players in the league and a player evey manager in this league and a lot of managers in the league above would have in their side.

There will be offers for him this summer without a doubt. I hope he stays but you can’t be certain he will?

I think the OP has tried to make a valid point but has done it clumsily

I think what he is saying is that Bannan is quality but that if you take him out of the team then we don’t have enough quality to succeed

We won’t be able to match his wages now we haven’t gone up

We paid it this year though and we didn't go up last season

Or do you mean that we'll have to tighten our budgets next season?
in which case how do you think that will affect our ability to get promoted?

Problem with BB is not the player himself but the way we drop deep under the slightest pressure. We can clearly see how different the game is if Bannan is allowed to play closer to the opposition goal than ours.

Our midfield - or almost the whole team - is easily bullied, and that needs to be resolved before thinking of any other moves.

Bit marmite is our Barry..

But on 20k wages a week in league with 1 year left .. cold hearted side of me says cash in and reinvest in 2 or 3 players.

We've had a good run with him in the team and unfortunately we have failed.

Talisman / great player in 50% of the games..

Unfortunately it's time for a change. But he will go with our best wishes

Somewhat agree with you here.

The fee we could get and freed up wages would benefit the squad depth.

Yet, he is so good, I’ll be gutted if he went.

I looked at what his contract was. Then used that number to put on here.

Is that ok Chubb's?
