Popular Post theowlsman
We have a great chance to reach Wembley. An early goal and we'll wonder what all the fuss was about. Yeah, was disappointed with Sam's error but we love him too much to dwell on it, I hope he can be our match winner on Monday. Sunderland aren't all that. They managed a 1-0 win only in front of 40,000 of their own fans against a Wednesday team that hadn't been given the green light to play their normal attacking game. That will change on Monday in front of a massive, vociferous, passionate Hillsborough crowd. Keep the faith. We've got this covered. I have all the confidence in the world with this set of Wednesday players. It is going to be emotional. Winner from Sam Hutchinson. 30 6

theowlsman
If we all stay positive, give off positive vibes, that will rub off on the players. I'm still looking at our squad and wondering how we managed to put it together with the restrictions we had. Praise to Moore and Chansiri for giving us the chance for a return.

Great post bud, about sums up the sentiments of the more level headed fan base. Got a feeling both wing backs will be changed, and we will be more on the front foot. We are right in this tie with a rocking Hillsboro leg to come. My only concern just not sure Bannan will be fit enough. UTO
4evaowl
Finely balanced for the home leg but AN knows how to set up teams to defend. Last night DM was correct that our use of the ball was poor - I thought we froze a bit on the night and panicked in possession when we didn't need to.
marshy
Thought we were typical DM in the 1st half. Try to soak it up which in the main we don’t do too well at although it nearly came off. However, for me this tactic only failed because they couldn’t hiya cowsarse with a banjo. Mainly evidenced by how many saves BPF actually made. What was disappointing was our seemingly lack of ability to make simple passes which I find frustrating. Too many with off days when they should have been so up for it. You don’t have go hung ho to show your up for the game. Better 2nd half certainly last 20 mins as their fans became nervous which transmitted through to them and we were able to show more intent. In summary, I’d have more than took a single goal margin even if we’d have played well so happy overall. Game on.

We could do with him running freely and at his best, dictating play and finding those passes nobody else sees.

lukeyswfc
If you stop and think about it, that first half, minus the error, was totally expected and accepted. Sunderland we’re always gonna control the first half and throw everything at us. If it wasn’t for the mistake we’d have clapped them off at 0-0 and expected more of a fight second half. Just unfortunate for Sam he’s tried to be too clever. Wouldnt we al love a Hutchinson winner at the Kop end Monday night. 2
