Pooped our pants

It’s pointless asking some fans to consider the occasion and the overall picture, like home advantage etc… it genuinely doesn’t cross their mind.

We lost the game. And are now behind. That’s the only context you need.

Said the same last time against Huddersfield.

Just got to go for the win in every game.

It’s no longer in our hands.

Yes it is!

Win 2-0 sorted.

I was saying in the week we might struggle with an away crowd that big. We struggle with a small away crowd that’s up for it.

Despite that though I thought that despite the crowd and occasion the football looked very 3rd tier and the longer it went on the more panicked Sunderland would’ve become. We released the pressure on them by giving a goal away and brought a tidal wave on us which we did well to withstand but let’s be fair they should’ve had 1/2 more which we also didn’t defend well.

I think we have seen enough play off games now to know what the away leg can be like ie awful and it’s good we are still in it. But as Sally said earlier we were happy ish with a 0-0 at Hudds and then didn’t do the job at home because of that 1 goal they got. We really need an early goal on Monday to level this up.

So 1-0 in first leg - performance unacceptable

If it had ended up 0-0 would it have been acceptable?

Id have been really happy with 0-0. Would still be cautious given what happened in our last play offs but going in level to this game would be mission complete. If we had won up there (did many really expect that?) that would be dream scenario.

I’d of been happy with 0-0

that would have been astounding

Come on then Einstein.

Explain how it's not in our hands.

First 70 minutes very disappointing. Decent last 20 without really creating much. Hopefully we will be the team to attack on Monday night, we have to be. Neil will use every trick in the book to win this. Hopefully our players won’t fall for any dirty tactics.

Agree with the go out to win

mentality. But the match is still in our own hands
