Lemi_the_owl
Had a little snoop on the Sunderland forum. They are pretty confident, they feel Neil is much better tactically than Moore and that Moore only has a Plan A. A couple of them also think Bannan is overrated and Pilkington is better. I believe if Bannan is for Moore will stick with a similar team to the Portsmouth one. Possibly a slight change in Defence.

Willie Henderson
I'd hate see us play for a draw, let's go at 'em from the whistle. Let's scare the beejesus out of them and hopefully take a lead back to fortress Hillsborough, or die trying. 1

He is absolutely poo anyway, fizz the little cernt Couldn't care less, he's not that good, he was your midfield maestro when we stuffed you at the SOL. I think they'll get him onto the pitch whether he's fit or not. It's a bit of an obsession with the entire club. They seem to forget he was useless in the 5-0 up here. Imagine playing mins games over Barry f***ing Bannan….please please get us out of this league!!! In the last couple of weeks they've lost tamely at Wycombe and needed a pen to beat Crewe at home. Portsmouth had nothing to play for. Bannan is Pritchards boot boy If Sheff Wed's players were that good they would have never have been relegated. The cream would have then been poached. couldn't give a fizz. He did nowt up here when we walloped them 5-0 He’ll play, which is fine, because if he was a good as some people seem to have convinced themselves he is, he wouldn’t be playing for a team that finished 4th in League One. ....... He also scored the League 1 goal of the season and had more assists and scored more goals than Pilkington. One game doesn't define a player or season. We were relegated last season because of a points deduction, without that we would have been mid table. And trust me there was interest in Bannan when we got relegated but he decided to stay. We'll see over the 2 legs anyway.

Neil probably is better, but if everyone is fit and Plan A works we are better then them. Bannan IMO will be more important in the home leg, but in any case they are wrong about him. As long as we don’t have a complete disaster there, we should have enough to get past them at home.
Avon barksdale
I think 9 of the 11 picks itself only possible changes are ,who partners Gregory and someone coming in for Palmer. Would be harsh on whoever is dropped.

The 2 teams are relatively evenly matched. It could turn on a bad refereeing decision or an injury. Id anything Sunderland have the edge looking at the form table.
