New floodlights getting installed this summer at SWFC

New LED floodlights are planned to be installed by the start of the 2022-23 season which will reduce electricity consumption of the floodlights by 80%.


This is good news - especially for those fans who've been noticing the lighting hasn't been as bright during night games recently

They are dim. But if you look, the reason is obvious. There are 2 out of 12 working on the West wing tip, 5 out of 12 on the Kop wing tip and 15 out of 24 on the South wing tip. Can’t see the North or South internal spots but we seem to be working on not much more than 50% lights working!
