Really impressive when you consider that up front is probably the weakest area of our squad.

Not knocking Gregory and co but imagine how many we could have scored with a really smart finisher in the team.

Gregory and Berahino are both roughly a goal per 100 minutes this past couple of months. That’s pretty darned sharp.

Not bad going when you consider early season we had a thread a day asking where the goals are going to come from

Corners, that's where they came from.

We're still light up front in open play, but we're scoring corners for fun.

We've scored 31 from open play, 14 from corners, 2 from penalties and 1 from a free kick.

We've also only conceded from 9 set pieces this year.

Does a goal from open play count double? Sorry mate I don’t understand your point

I'd rather we spread them around the team like we did rather be reliant on one poo hot finisher for our goals

It's where the uptick in goals came from, we've not massively improved in open play, 23-31  but we've scored more than double the set piece goals. 7-17, 10 of which in the last 11 games.

Yes very true though I still think we miss too many good chances due to poor finishing.

A top striker at this level could easily have got 25- 30 for us this season with all the opportunities we create.

To be fair , Gregory played in total minutes 2746 minutes over the season which equates to around 30.5 full games

He got 16 goals in the league which is slightly better than a 1 in 2 ratio, looking at the raw stats we had a top striker, had he been fit for the full season he could have easily broken the 25 goal barrier.

Gregory’s goals to games record is as good as anything we could have hoped for
