Popular Post @owlstalk
Watched Liam Palmer closely today as he was tasked with looking after George Hirst What a job he did too He smashed some absolutely crunching tackles on Hirst, kept him quiet (after his goal) and made his presence felt like I've never seen Palmer do before. He really stepped up to make sure Hirst didn't make an impact and stuck his foot in when needed and came flying into tackles to take the ball off him Was great to watch and thought he deserves some credit for his game today 31 8 Owlstalk Shop

HopefulOwl
To think some on here didn't want him in the starting 11.... don't know what game some people watch... he was solid... and again playing out of position.
onlyonedavidhirst
I'm not his biggest fan in as much as he doesn't make my starting 11 if everyone is fit, but I thought he was excellent today. He drove us forward as well more than once, was very close to an assist and I thought his positional sense was really good.

A47Owl
Whatever position he's given to play he will give 100% effort. Great servant to the club. Well done and thank you Liam for your dedication to our club.
GermanBird
Played very well again. I guess he deserves a new picture on your Owlstalk Player Sponsor thing . Maybe a smiling one? Edited April 30, 2022 by GermanBird

shandypants
He deserves the love. Some turnips show the likes of George Hirst more love than they do Palmer
edinburghowl
Agreed, it was a very good performance from Liam. Nice to see him respond to the ‘one of our own’ chant too.
HullOwlPhil
He played really well today, not for the first time this season.
Kopparberg
I thought the way he covered things was excellent… being right footed on the left doesn’t even hinder him too much.
areNOTwhatTHEYseem
I thought he could have done more to prevent their goal, as it looked like he continued to run towards our goal line, leaving Hirst free to drop off for a simple tap-in. But after that he looked very solid and assured, and seemed to really grow into the game. One of his better performances of the season, no doubt.

TommyCraig
He got a bit of the marijuana song today. I felt for him. That one was of its time and should stay in the archives.
CircleSeven
Palmer has definitely played better since Owlstalk started sponsoring him. Whatever happens this season I hope we are going to sponsor him again next year! Money well spent IMO 1
