That’s really useful to know if that’s the case. Sounds like the old Wednesday ite car park could be the one due to its proximity  if it's open  which it appears from some comments on here it sounds that way

It's definitely open, I've been parking there all season.

Police don’t enforce parking, don’t clamp vehicles,  and don’t tow vehicles away.

Yes... Parking infringements on the public highway are enforced the local authority/council. The police can't clamp but they can arrange to have a car towed away if it's causing an obstruction.

Everybody does it every week but technically two hour limit. Never enforced on match day

Not recently but heard they were ticketed 4-5 years ago. Just ain't worth it. This council loves to sting us with parking tickets .I got down accross from barracks a few years ago

Well that is what must have happened cause it ended up in a police compound and he couldn't get his car for a few days. Guess parking on the path was classed as an obstruction.

Anyway be careful parking on the paths

Parking on paths isn't illegal but as you say you have to be careful.

If you park sensibly you will be fine but you should always leave enough room for a pram or wheelchair to get through or not block access to someone's property or park on dropped kerbs.

That's when it could be classed as causing an obstruction or illegally parked.

The advice for parking on a matchday is simple:

1) Wherever you park, make sure it's somewhere you can park legally and stick to the rules

2) If you get a ticket for not doing the above then doing moan about it cos it's YOUR fault

End of lecture

Yours truly
