i used to be sc_owl
It's obscene. Wasn't long ago that it was reported almost every PL club could let fans in for free and hardly impact on their bottom line.
sheffield_dave
Not that there’s any excuse, but that’s a bunch of London clubs plus the two biggest clubs in the country. Brighton and Norwich are down to geography, I guess? Expensive, but there’s nobody else within 45 miles to watch. But.. who the hell do Wolves think they are?! trev
Tbh some of those clubs could charge triple that and still sell out.
bradowl
Clubs trying to recoup money they missed out on because of lockdown when they had no fans coming through turnstiles. With price of everything going up there's going to be some fans that can't afford these prices and will stop going all together or just pick and choose odd game. Not all but some clubs might regret this increase in a few years when they are playing with stadium half empty. Won't affect clubs like Liverpool and Man United though, these clubs will just get stronger. Maybe it is another step closer to European Super league the owners of these clubs crave. striker
You'd have to pay me to watch EPL football. Have zero interest unless Wednesday in it, then only interested in Wednesday.
Mr. Chow
poo me all that money just to see your team do okay at tops and potentially get relegated, sounds like fun season after season
Putney
£550 for Premier League football here. About £30 per game which is fine when it’s against Liverpool, not Bristol City etc. Yes there were some £1k season tickets which are a farce.
fudge27
I really hope this new advisors and regulator the government are on about introduce a maximum price of £25 EPL and £20 football league, £15 conference, and season tickets capped too.
