Popular Post shandypants
I thought Palmer had a great game tonight. He got Hunt out of the 5h1t with his determination to get back and he got Dunkley out of the 5h1t by tracking that runner behind when Dunkley completed missed his header. He also did his thing of playing in two or more positions during a match. it’s hard to pick a MoM tonight so I’m going to give my vote to Palmer.
FlyingOwl
I agree. No one hugely stood out for me but I was impressed by Palmer’s calmness tonight and work rate.
Alb1owl
Voted for him too, and had a couple of laugh reactions. That such a reliable player can be a scapegoat, when he’s also a one-club owl, is beyond me. 3 1 1
markg
Brilliant game. one of our own. Never let’s us down. Plays all over the place. gets grief from the fans. a pig turns up, scores a few in the pub league and gets his name sung at the top of everyone’s voice. Kopparberg
Palmer was calm and reliable. Him being a ‘steady’ player doesn’t do it for everyone but I appreciate it.

megsonstheman
I'd agree with the "steady" bit.....very steady at running back when we lose possession. Never been known to break into a sweat.

Utah Owl
I don't understand why he gets so much hatred. He's one of our own, loyal to a tee, willing to play anywhere and now has over 340 appearances under his belt.

McRightSide
First half I though he was average Looked ponderous and lacking awareness, there was one moment where he looking like he almost couldn’t be bothered to deal with a cross Second half he was very good, much more aggressive and purposeful. The only blot on his copy book was attempting to dribble past 3 opposites in the 93rd minute and getting robbed

Consistently beat his man and delivered quality into the box on numerous occasions

Ok give it to NML and Palmer can have a hand shake and a pat on the back instead.

Other than that he did very well.
