There are losers here and that's the Wimbledon fans who had to go through having their club stolen and then fight tooth and nail to rebuild the whole thing from the ground up. Just because they've done a cracking job of it and made it back into the league doesn't mean it wasn't an ordeal for them. "Wimbledon were going bust" is not an excuse or a reason, either. Clearly Wimbledon is a big enough entity and an important enough asset to their community that they are able to sustain themselves as an EFL club. Wimbledon as it was would either have dropped through the divisions and eventually stabilised at this level, or totally wiped and had to build back like AFC have anyway. But either of those outcomes wouldn't have involved going through a franchising effort to drag what was left of their club 60 miles up the road to a different City and watch them steal a league position with the remains. Milton Keynes is welcome to league football, a nice stadium and facilities etc. But they should have built it from the ground level. There has never been and will never be an excuse to achieve what they have now via someone else's identity.
Inspector Lestrade
Football is a capitalist sport if you are big and strong enough you go on to the next stage, some will fall by the wayside others will grow. You take the opportunities which come your way and survive, miss the opportunities and you wither away. Dog eat dog. We need to bring a Bull terrier to the fight

You would not have any of those and instead see the club go bust. Thatcherite owl. How dare you! A club is a sacrosanct covenant for its locality. Moving them to where they can make more money is rank commodification.

We have the experience and in general I would say our better players are better than your better players, bar the odd one. You certainly work well as a team, but it’s the big players who make the difference in big games, I think that is a tick to us. Secondly, you will try and attack us. Almost every team doesn’t, sticks in a low block and scraps for set pieces. You won’t do that which plays to our strengths. For this reason, our record against the top 3 is W4L1, including a very flattering 2-1 against you boys, which should have been a good few more. Hopefully, it ends up a basketball match, where I believe we will win. In your favour, outside of the top 3, our away form is questionable. Sides who defend deep and rattle us, are getting results. And…..we have a tendency to concede a soft goal at the end, so keep believing until the final whistle blows I am looking forward to a good game and I hope you go up mate. We are in a good place, better than when we played last time, so both teams are in for a very tough night. I’m going 1-3 to Wednesday, with the obligatory late goal, to finish 2-3. All the best. Mystic meg?

I do have respect for all football fans, we all love our team. You are current rivals and are a decent team and banter is part and parcel of being a footy fan. My argument with MK is not with the fans it has always being with the authorites for something that should never have happened in the guise it did. No club has the rightful right to be in a higher league because they are a bigger supported club, its all about results which in the last ,20 years ours has been woefull. Hence we are now rivals.

That reminds me of what Phil Lynott the lead singer of Thin Lizzy used to say to the audience He was Irish, he would ask the crowd if anyone had any Irish in them He then said "would any of the girls like a bit more Irish in them" 1 Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.
