Gi us a new contract and I'll stay, Steve."

Nigel worthington used to do this at Norwich.

Every time we sacked a manager, he planted a bit of interest with journalists, then went to see delia for a pay rise.

How cam VAR be used to turn that Dawson decision to a red?

It's not an error as the referee has obviously seen the incident enough to give the pen and a yellow, and the foul isn't a straight red offence, but the circumstances, which the ref must have been fully aware of to give the pen in the first place?!

Shouldn't have been used there

Everton in big trouble now. They will be pumped by Liverpool later so will be 2 points off Burnley with one game in hand.  Trouble at the mill.

7 points from 9 since binning Dyche.

Poor decision according to some.

Two huge wins. Was worth the gamble and so far so good.

Yeah it’s because the opponents can’t be arsed, not because of a new manager bounce…

Tbf, you can't prove it either way.

Great point though.

West Ham after the Euro League when they always underperform.

Southampton an inconsistent mid-table team prone to poor performances.

Wolves with nothing to play for.

It's not exactly a terrible group of fixtures for a new manager/coaching set up to deal with. Though yeah, there probably is an element of a new managerial/coaching boost too.

Well, as things stand, they've dragged Leeds back into it and Everton are slap bang in trouble given who they've got today.

If they stay up, then yes, the ends will have justified the means.

Suggestion they are now looking at Alex Neil. Shame they couldn't have appointed him earlier.

Not so much a poor decision but a bit of shitty one after all Dyche has done for them on and off the pitch

The piety of football fans who squeal and scream about loyalty when a coveted manager or player moves on to better themselves - yet loyalty works both ways doesn't it

No point arguing about whether he could have got the points to keep them up cos we can never know

Football manager not getting results. Football manager gets sacked.

Swear I’ve seen this before.

Dyche a great servant and manager for Burnley, but come on. Football rarely has any sentiment or morals does it?
