Disorder at English football grounds is up by more than a third this season according to figures released in February.

Almost half of all matches have had an incident reported - including the use of pyrotechnics, missiles being thrown at players and hate crime and pitch invasions

Arrests in and around football grounds are up by almost 50 per cent

I can't find the new figures anywhere. Could you post a link, please? What is the comparison season?

The one I found is not up to date

Did this coincide with the all seater stadia law & proper policing,  proper cctv & all ticket away fans me Lord? I can't genuinely remember.

Possibly. I mean to say, I'm sure there were still instances. Every club afterall has its fair share of absolute wankhammers, but it didn't seen as prevalent.

I know some will say we are just more aware of it now because of social media.

But the truth is...arrests are up.

There has been a rise and its evident to see with your own eyes in the grounds growing  instances of f*ckwiteric behaviours, arrested or not.

Man banned from football matches following ‘disorder’ between Owls and Lincoln City fans

A Sheffield man has been fined £200 and banned from football matches for three years following 'disorder' between Sheffield Wednesday and Lincoln City fans.

He was one of 6 arrested as tempers flared at Sincil Bank on March 5th.

Of the others,  3 have been fined various amounts on a number of charges including

drunk and disorderly in a public place, failing to comply with a dispersal order and suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.

A further two men, aged 49 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of public order offences and released under investigation.

lets get 1 thing absolutely clear this season trouble is absolutely rife everywhere inc most premier league clubs ,the lots happening rioting ,chairs thrown ,pubs smashed up , stick youtube on you will see massive trouble from most clubs this season. its 500% worse than pre covid. i think its a general society problem so much more aggression about whether thats some lunatic in a car or a van or at football etc . i missed the bolton incident at the end i left as soon as we threw the game away yet again . bolton are very very known for causing trouble ,there where riots and full scale fighting in wigan 2 weeks ago , they caused trouble at our place , there have about 500 lads between 15-20 who see following bolton as sum kind of green street thing , we need tougher action against lunatics ,the policing the cps the judicial system is an absolute joke lately , there are known criminals in my area who for some reason never get locked up despite clear cctv of them doing stuff.  i predicted trouble pre bolton due to bolton this season been involved in a lot of disorder and we have a few tools , then you get a flashpoint on 90 mins with them getting a 1-1 and chucking missiles into weds end . bolton need to use there cctv and get there idiots banned.

Why not click football arrests into your Google and then change your time scale parameters for this week alone and see how many stories pop up. That's one week.

and i cant see things getting any better either in the short to medium term , life for many now is extremely tough ,there is so much aggro about . the feel good factor is not around as much , very little respect about also now.

Feels like a football problem in general across England. Look at the Euros final.

Think it has emboldened those with ruddy red faces and who circlejerk over Stone Island and those w@nky little coats with the goggles in them to just do it every week.

Embarrassing because it harms the club they are supposed to support. Also embarrassing because getting all shouty and sweary over a ball being kicked around is generally just reyt embarrassing.

The 3 year ban won't stop him going if he still wants to, he would actually have to get caught being at the football , I'm not sure it's policed in a way where he's actually banned !

Always wondered this, it's not like theres some facial recognition or that every steward at the stadium knows every face banned 😂Account wise they can just get a ticket from a friend?
