Popular Post HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
Think about it We're playing a team who are missing 4 key players We're playing against 10 men, I don't count Kachunga If we get promoted a lot of our players won't be signed up for next season If we stay in this division, chances are we will keep most of the players I didn't see many players fighting for the cause, a few seemed to be going through the motions NML is not a striker NML, Byers, and Johnson were poor Bannan and Luongo stood out The 3 centre backs Storey, Dean and Hutchinson had good games Hunt was somewhere between the good and the bad Gregory worked hard but suffers because he needs a partner up front Two points thrown away I'm backing Moore for now, but I think he lacks motivation skills, and I don't think he will get us promoted A decent team would have scored 3 or 4 today 8 2 3 Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife. alanharper
Well the excuse on here for regularly capitulating this time last year was "many of the players know they won't be here next season", either through permanent contracts or loans expiring. So why would it be any different this year?
Onge
I didn't see a lack of effort or commitment today - just no-one brought their shooting boots.

SiJ
Yeah, I think they do...just think they are prone to moment of complacency and it costs them at critical times.
Kopparberg
I think they do but these away games are a real leveller. Whoever we’re up against can work hard and get a draw at least.

This game ought to have been a comfortable 3/4 - nil win.
ANDY
I think it’s a mentality thing. just like the not winning from a losing position. we go in front. Concede a set piece and then it’s panic stations. it’s like they’re expecting to concede. think the sports psychologist needs to up his game.
@owlstalk
Just now, ANDY said: think the sports psychologist needs to up his game. I wonder if he actually touches on this late conceding or conceding from set pieces at all? 1 Owlstalk Shop

one day
How you can question the commitment of the players begers belief, even NML who didn't have a particularly good game never stopped trying. I think everyone gave their all; however, I do believe we lacked the killer instinct today. It certainly wasn't a poor performance irrespective whether it was against a team missing a number of key players they certainly didn't roll over.

Looking at the team we had on when we conceded, we’ve got 5 players who I think would kill to head it away… yet it keeps happening. We all probably thought Dean would be the magic wand to stop it. And there’s Moore himself, a former defender.

S72 Owl
Are people really suggesting players don’t want promotion in case they don’t get a new contract. Unbelievable.

Over the last couple of years Wigan and Rotherham have proved to good for League 1, but not good enough for the Championship And we haven't been able to keep up with them If we do go up we will need another big overhaul 2 Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.
