I wasn't expecting to read that when I clicked on the twitter link.

Basically, short story, on moral grounds they have stopped business due to it's murky ownership allegedly being responsible for money laundering, people trafficking and Russian investment, and that there is evidence that they want to destroy the club so they can use the ground for property development opportunities .

The club statement is absolutely bonkers.

We all have pension funds, they are invested in all sorts of different funds.  The statement is as insane as saying that because a fund in your pension fund investments has some shares in Shell, you are pillaging and burning the planet and should be arrested.

This looks the work of an embittered former exec at the club who has gone off on one.
