A Couple of Things To Mention

We got lucky at 2-1

Scoreline flattered us

I get what you mean, but I think the fact it was just 2-1 at that point actually flattered Cheltenham.

Gregory has a couple of chances to get a shot away which he fumbled, and if Mendez-Laing had managed to stretch that extra inch to put away that pass across the six-yard box, we'd have been sitting pretty by the time Cheltenham created their opportunities.

If they'd equalised, it would have felt like a very harsh scoreline.

Absolutely fizzing we won and Hunt scored

but regardless of scoreline, there’s still a level of inconsistency and weakness in that team

Subs again, were very odd

Fingers crossed that central midfield 3 and Gregory stay fit, we may scrape the play offs

We are a bit Jekyll and Hyde.

When we are on it, there are a few better at this level. We've got plenty of quality and experience too.

We just have a bit of a soft underbelly at times, particularly away from home.

Today, we rode our luck on occasions, but deserved to win.

No doubt.

We've seen it time and again as soon as the players start talking of unbeaten runs or challenging for automatic promotion.

But we deserved to be well ahead by the time they hit the post today.

Another one, seen the kop band sold us out for England!

That’s a good thing,

I wondered where they were.

Does this mean that an England friendly is more important than a Wednesday game?

it is for them, hopefully they stay with England for good

Happy with the win

But it's time to build on it

Remember all the cockiness after a 6 nil win then two shocking results after

Still a long way to go yet

Or to look at it another way remember all the flouncing after we drew a couple of games. Back on track after a very minor blip.

Also this ridiculously over the top language really irritates me. Drawing a couple of games hardly equates to 'shocking' results. Disappointing sure but shocking no. Shocking is when you get hammered 5 or 6 nil.

Deserved the win.

4-1 did flatter us

Their subs kinda made them predictable as they were obviously going long and high. Before May and Blair were troublesome.

Apart from scoring Mass looked a bit off today. Passes going astray and getting caught in possession. But Byers picked up the baton. Luckily for us DB got injured.

Dean seems the Leader we've needed for sometime. Ref worried me but a proper promotion chasing win scored when we needed to. Quick equaliser and the second when it was end to end.

Cheltenham could actually play

O you could flip it the other way and say its ridiculous how people are so cocky about getting promotion and some saying autos are still on ,after weve spent the majority of season out the top 6

Depends which side of the Fence your on

Strange comment, very few people seem to be cocky about getting promotion. Certainly  not me.

As for the autos they have never really been a realistic prospect.

You must not read this site and social media or talk to other people at matches

Lots of people think we have one hand on the playoff trophy already

Of course autos was a realist prospect

So with the players weve got we had no chance of top 2?

Rotherham, wigan and mk Don's have better players than us ?

There's the added context of where we were in pre season, high turnover of playing staff and inability to pay transfer fees. It isn't as black and white as you are saying. That being said anything other than play offs is a failure.

Wigan have signed 23 players

And got rid  20 players

Played more games than us in the cups and can win the league

So not really a excuse for us is it

Or have they just got a better manager

Rotherham game cost us chance at top 2, if we had made our dominance pay that day it would have been a 3 way shoot out for 2nd place (behind Wigan)

Some people just like to make excuses and don’t want to hold the manager to account if he doesn’t deliver.

That said, let’s get behind him with 7 games left and hope he gets us over the line.

Can debate replacements if/when we don’t go up.
