Cadamateri

Recommended Posts

We might lose Cadamarteri to Manchester City or West Ham, but it sounds that we are finally looking do conduct our business in a proper way. I like what I've heard from the club regarding our immediate plans  for Cadamarteri and our other best prospects.

At 16 he's been getting games for the U23's and training with the first team on occassion but he's still a long way to go before he starts for the first team. Looks like we have provided a route for him to get there given time and continued progress.

Will the prospect of first team football for us outweight the appeal of a Premiership club and big wages at a young age?

Maybe the way for him and others with his potential is to sell to the prem clubs so the club and the player get the dough but have an agreement with prem club that when that player eventually needs first-team experience, they loan them back to the club and on favourable terms.

Great to see that our youngsters are getting lot of mention in local papers.

Is it down to us having genuine crop of talent in our academy side.

Due to fantastic results our academy side ade despite all odds.

Or because couple of young, talented reporters recognize importance of youth football.

A bit of everything I think plus they may have been tipped the wink that we are going to invest heavily in and therefore change our youth strategy? always thought this would eventually be the plan when Moore was first appointed?

He is 16, would not be a good idea to play him in league one, a very physical league..  Maybe another year or so then yes, these teams sniffing around know this, they want to get in before he starts playing incase he is any good then they would have to pay more...  Better to buy 100 players that might have a chance at £10k each than one that has started to play and doing well and you end up having to pay £3 million for..  Its terrible as someone else said they just horde these players and stunt their development, just look at George Hirst, got snapped up by a prem team, spent a year in some league B in Belgium, gets dumped into Championship with a poor team then this year a league one average team, he is now 23 and his development is ruined...

I heard about West Ham but first I’ve heard of City is today.

Surprised you havn't heard of City. They are a team from the Blue side of Manchester who have been winning loads of stuff since they employed some Spanish guy and got some filthy rich owner  paying a player more in a week than out lot get collectively in a season.

They have hundreds on their books jut in case the turn into another Phil Foden.

They have more players out on loan at any one time than we have in the treatment room. Now that's a lot of players.

Having said all that I wouldnt have thought Caddo is anywhere near good enough for them.

Just my humble opinion.
