Skyline
Chelsea have asked for their game against Middlesboro to be played behind closed doors, because they can't sell any tickets. Assuming Chelsea are not allowed to sell tickets to away fans at the bridge, but season ticket holders are allowed in? If so, are they going to ask for these games to be played behind closed doors too? 1

Hypocrites.

mildatheart67
It's hysterical isn't it. They have been propped up with over £1.5 billion of iffy money . As the price of football guy said yesterday not a peep from any of the people running the club.
owls maniac
They’ve more front than Blackpool. All the billions they have spent, the superstar players and they’re now moaning about unfair advantage because they will only have 600 fans at game with a championship side. Just award the tie to Boro and fizz them off entirely. The sense of entitlement with these “elite” clubs is breathtaking. 8

Think Chelsea should count themselves very lucky they are allowed to continue playing instead of making silly demands.

They should be told that any further requests like this will be met with the withdrawal of this special license they've been given to play. For me, they should already be in a relegation battle with the other 6 ESL clubs as it is trying to overcome a minus point defecit, and they should keep this in mind when they're babbling on about sporting integrity.

Does this mean all Chelsea matches at home now not to have fans either (after all they can't sell any new tickets to those matches either) This is as Middleborough said a bizarre request.

Bannofan
Jonathan Wilson in the Guardian said as far as Premier League team owners are concerned, take away all the oligarchs, dodgy hedge fund owners, PIF fronts for Governments etc , you are left with Delia Smith at Norwich . A mess created by insatiable greed in the game . Rotten from top to bottom. I mean, is anyone even really interested in the World Cup at this stage? it just looks like it's going to be a bizarre, completely inappropriate circus at this stage.
Gob_Bluth
So I assume Chelsea aren't going to play any of the players purchased with Romans money against Boro then to "maintain sporting integrity"
