Willow Owl
Bannan by a mile. Honourable mentions for Berahino and Johnson. Well done Moore for changes made at half time 2
nevthelodgemoorowl
Disjointed and incoherent throughout our first half that looked anything but promising. So no awards to anyone for that first half performance. What a second half transformation inspired by Gibson, Berahino and Paterson. Paterson even had the confidence to bring on his own Blue Smoke flare for his goal such was his confidence in turning things around. Thought both penalties were criminal awards. So Here we go.... Peacock-Farrell 7 Rescued our crisis with that second half save. Brennan 6 Did a job lacked a little in confidence. Storey 7 Gave us some height at the back. Palmer 7 Did a job carrying the game forwards. Hunt 7 Crossing standards maintained. Johnson From a 6 to a 9 so gave him an 8 - Struggled first half, quality second half. Luongo 7 did his share. Byers 6 let his standard slide a little. Bannan 7 Advertised his last pen with his preferred placement.tough first half came good. Kamberi 4 Poor at making it stick. Sow 5 We have seen much better, consistency needed. Paterson Share of BUMS OFF SEATS 8 We need that determination week in, Week out. Loved the Blue smoke Bomb. Berahino MOTM Stand out ! 9 Those Halcion WBA days came flooding back MOTM great turn and goal ! Gibson Share of BUMS OFF SEATS 8 Was a shame to lose him, but now he is back where he left off. Quality.
CircleSeven
Voted Berahino because he’s been terrible and looked uninterested until today. He looked like he really wanted to make an impact and took his goal nicely. If he comes good now I’ll be foookin ecstatic! 2

Holmowl
Really tough to choose. Which is a good thing. We were excellent. BPF 7 very little to do. Brennan 7.5 Storey 8 really looked the part at the heart of our back 3 Palmer 7.5 much better when switched right. Hunt 7 as ever did his role well Bannan 8.5 at the heart of everything and great goal Luongo 8 superb again Byers 7.5 in terrific form Johnson 9 key role in all 3 goals Kamberi 5 very poor Sow 6.5 started very brightly but faded Paterson 8 great goal and worked his nuts off Berahino 8.5 terrific performance. More like that and what an asset Gibson 8.5 huge influence on the win. His coming forward brought Johnson into the game.

Shetland Owl
We have come a long way, earlier in the season we would have collapsed. Great result and individual performances. Gibson, Storey and Palmer look good, where on earth do we put Lofra, Hutch and Dunkley when they are fit Also pleased for Berahino looks a different player lets hope he kicks on. Darren said he was looking sharp. Looks like Sow and Kamberi have dropped down pecking order. We need to get more men in the box, those crosses from Johnson are the best we have seen for ages MOM : Johnson- superb BPF 7.5 Palmer 7 Storey 8 Brennan 6.5 Byers 7.5 Bannan 8 Luongo 7.5 Johnson 8 Kamberi 4.5 Sow 4.5 Gibson 8 Berahino 8 Paterson 8

Morepork
First game Ive missed this season……delivering child number 4 to Uni halls in Wellington. Empty nest and all that……. So important we bounced back from that Rotherham fixture and the postponement, add to that even more injuries and it’s impressive indeed. We’ll done DM and the players.

Luongo is just so suited to the league. 8.5 for both. Johnson, Bannan and Berinhio 8. 7.5 for everyone else. DM 10. Played with a striker from start. Then changed things with inspired substitutions. If only we had a fully fit squad. We would definitely be around that top 3 position.
beswetherick
BPF 7 - steady game, nothing he could do about the pen Brennan 6.5 - started brightly but lost a bit of concentration as the game went on, consistency takes time though and early signs are promising Storey 7.5 - speaking of consistency… he’s not had a bad game for us, really hope we can keep him somehow Palmer 7 - not sure if it’s the change of position or dropping a level but this is possibly the best season he’s had for us Hunt 7 - another model of consistency Byers 7.5 - always looking to do something positive with the ball Luongo 7 - not his most all-action performance but still very good, he makes us tick Bannan 7.5 - very good… the penalty was shocking, but missing that seemed to spur him on and you could see how much that excellent goal meant to him Johnson 8 - MOTM, solid all game but completely unplayable for the last half hour Kamberi 5 - ran about a bit but not much else Sow 4.5 - didn’t run about as much and missed a half decent chance at 0-0 Subs: Berahino 8 - pretty sure we’ve all been critical of him this season but he was different gravy when he came on… let’s hope that performance can be the platform for the rest of the season now because he obviously has the talent Paterson 7.5 - ran his socks off and put his head in where it hurts for the equaliser Gibson 7.5 - impressive, you can see why we kept him despite his injury… hopefully he stays fit now and we get to see what he can do —————————————— @theowlsman 11 - best lucky half time dump of the season

Stan Dupowls
2 hours ago, steelerian said: I have to agree with this. Johnson was a joy to watch in the 2nd half. We really need to find a way to get him in the game more often, and in more advanced positions. He is dangerous. His left foot is dangerous so Personally I’d play him up front as he knows where the net is, and occasionally play. Change the shape if necessary. Patterson only when you need a determined tank. As with today. btw he’s not as good as a left wing back - just attacking!

He had a GOOD second half - missing a penalty apart! Great means great first half and don’t miss a pen…IMO. Yes he’s a great Wednesday player but there was a lot wrong with that first half which included Bannan. He needs - I suggest - to more regularly unlock a decent forward pass (not backwards) not try the 60 yard glory balls which only convert about 20% at best, this loses possession. So a good game from a great Wednesday player but let’s not carried away.
