Yeah heard similar too. They brought some n0bbers today though.

Yeah they were a few mouthing off on run up to game saying that Wednesday had better watch out because they were fetching a mob wanting to sort us out.

This gets filtered through to our lunatics and we've got a recipe for trouble.

One thrown from North Stand then a few minutes later another bottle was launched from Kop.

I've heard it kicked off on Hillsborough corner after game too, Owls fans blocking road so a tram full of Rotherham fans couldn't get through.

Nice tactical maneuvers then go round the flanks to unsettle them, then send in the mainforce straight through the middle. Typical strategy which Napoleon deployed

One in ten would not follow rules specifically because of No 10 parties

Adam McDonnell. Research Director of Political and Social Research.

New YouGov data finds that  stories of rule breaking have  damaged the government’s ability to tighten restrictions, should they be required and maybe causing wider rule breaking.

Asked how likely they would be to follow new rules  46% said they were unlikely to follow any rules.

When probing those who suggest they wouldn’t obey new measures to tell us why in their own words, a fifth (21%) say the revelations surrounding potential Downing Street parties are the main reason.

This translates to 10% of the British population who say they wouldn't follow rules

specifically because the Prime Minister, Government, or others in Downing Street broke the rules last year

The data research being  carried out is also being investigated into the impact of the epidemic and the reactions to it, country wide as figures suggest there have been increases in anti-social behaviour and public disorder across all counties. Number which have risen throughout the pandemic but which have grown at a higher curve since Christmas.

I wondered why traffic was backed up halfway along Middlewood Road alongside the park at nearly 15:00.

The Pointer Brothers & Sisters out in force again today 🙄

UK society as changed a lot in last 6 years, football reflects this.

Referendum vitriol, Brexit, Pandemic, lockdown, the rise of the anti vaxxers & political manipulation of people via social media .. we’ve entered a new era.

Luckily we don’t have a moral vacuum of an lesser running the country else it will just get worse… oh wait ..

Nope

This isn't just wrong - it's very badly incorrect

So people didnt throw bottles, or whatever before 2020? Did you have your head in the sand or are you just blind?

It has been steadily on the rise for the past 4 or 5 years or so, minus the little break in between for covid.

It is the same with all the other issues. Drugged up/pissed up, racism, sexism etc has been going up for a while.

It is pal. It was just as bad pre pandemic. Just because it didn't happen for 18 months when fans were banned and people seem to think its a new problem.

Disorder at English football grounds is up by more than a third this season according to figures released last week.

Almost half of all matches have had an incident reported - including the use of pyrotechnics, missiles being thrown at players and hate crime and pitch invasions.

Arrests in and around football grounds are up by almost 50 per cent.

Statistics (actual real facts) prove you wrong

It's a recent growth that we're discussing not footy hooliganism over the last 50 years ffs

Cops have nowt to do for 18 months part of it too lol

Still my point stands - it is as bad as it as it has been for the past few years, it is just getting highlighted more recently.
