We might have won the last 2 but......

Recommended Posts

We were in the top 6 up until we lost at Plymouth in early September after which we dropped out. Then only time we have been in the top 6 since was briefly for about 4 days after we beat MK at the end of November, when we made 6th place on goal difference, having played a game more than others.

So this season we have been in the top 6 for a grand total of 5 weeks out of 26. It's very difficult once there's a big gap to make it up on teams who are winning regularly. In the 18 games left we are going to have to win a couple of games more than Plymouth win and 3 games more than 2 of MK, Wycombe, Oxford.

We might need to win 10 of the 18 left, not going to be easy.

Can't see we made any progress towards top 6, minimal change but not noticeable, we need to win next 5 to make an impact I think.

Win next 5 games and we'll be having an impact on top 2 places never mind top 6.

Lets not worry about the others around us, we just need to keep winning the home games and not losing away.

we will catch those above us, there is a reason all of these teams are in the third division because they dont have the quality or the consistency of the teams in the leagues above.

we take 15 points from our remaining February fixture i suspect we will be sitting in t he top 6 come 1st March.

The Rotherham match is a worry. It's a local derby, there will be a big crowd and it will be physical. We can afford to lose, but we absolutely cannot afford to lose anymore first team players.

We always seem to have injuries to key players when we're due to play Rotherham, unless its just me..... I remember FF seemed to always get injured (or maybe suspended) when we were about to play them

If we won our game in hand we will be on 49 so a point behind 6th and 3 behind 4th and 5th. It should be in our hands then in that if we were able to be consistent until the end of the season that would probably be enough.

However, not seen anything to suggest we will be. Knowing us we will slip up away at Burton

Would love to do the double over roverrum. Case of what could have been for us as they canter over the horizon. Think a double over them would represent a high point in a flat season. Echo thoughts on here that the injuries are chronic and we are scraping the barrel to pull a side together at the moment. Fair play for getting the two last wins, just a shame that we have lost so many players in doing so.
