Danny Batth plug pulled

Recommended Posts

Personally I'm still disappointed we didn't get him here. Yeah bad result for Sunderland, but I don't think Batth was just to blame for that today! I think he'll turn a solid signing.

However Dean I think will be just the solid and experienced head we need at the back. Let's not forget he was, until a bust up with Bowyer, the captain and  regular starter of a Championship team.

I think both us and Sunderland have secured good central defensive signings from the championship. You never know, Dean could be a Wednesday legend. Look at Mike Lyons ( no Im not comparing Dean with Lyons just yet) but who would have thought when he first joined Wednesday the impact Lyons had on our club.

So there we go Bolton 6-0 Sunderland

Not so much a Wednesday thread but I tell you what we may have dodged a bullet not having him at the back

the defensive signings for us are excellent and made the difference yesterday . but scoring goals i think is now going to the big problem , out of patto kamberi sow bererhino and that new lad we have at best 1 in 5 strikers gregory is out for some time . we need to win at least 4 on the bounce to get near the top 6 as they wont drop many points .

I wouldn’t have had a problem with Batth signing TBH but it can be difficult when a player returns to a club for a second spell as it doesn’t always work out and our record in particular with regards to this is very mixed to say the least.

This ^^^^^^^^

This is the sort of smart recruitment we need. Much as I have fond memories of Danny Batth, I think we got the better deal.

Dean is a step up from Batth, as said above had he not had a fall out with that tool bowyer he wouldn’t be here

your not wrong no way would a player of the year in the championship be here otherwise.  i watched derby brum today and bowyer and moore must go to the same school of management , winning 2-0 and complete control of the game the manager bowyer decides to take strikers off chuck defenders on and sit back ,and it didnt end well 2-2 , if we had a 20 goal a season striker id put good money on making top 6 but despite finally sorting the defence out we are going to struggle for goals,  gregory could miss most of the season by sounds of it.
