Owlsbury
A bit more information.. NewsMatchesTeams 2 hours ago Academy Preview: Rovers Under-18s v Sheffield Wednesday Under-18s By Blackburn Rovers FC Rovers Under-18s return to action this evening when Ryan Kidd's side host Sheffield Wednesday Under-18s in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup at Ewood Park. With a place in the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition at stake, Rovers will be hoping for similar performances and results to their last two games in the prestigious competition. After an early own goal, finishes from Charlie Weston, George Pratt, Jake Batty and Harry Leonard earned an emphatic win over Birmingham City and secured progress to round four, with Rovers running out comfortable 5-1 victors at St Andrew's. A home tie with Stoke City was next up, with Harrison Wood's double arriving either side of a stunning Leonard free-kick as Rovers ran out 3-0 winners at Leyland earlier this month. As for Wednesday, they navigated their way through four rounds to reach this stage, knocking out Burton Albion (3-0), Aylestone Park (2-1) and Southampton (1-0) all away from home, prior to their 1-0 triumph over Preston North End at Hillsborough earlier this month. As well as featuring regularly for the Under-18s this term, many of the youngsters have also gained Under-23s experience during the campaign, with the likes of Ash Phillips, Adam Wharton, Jake Batty and Patrick Gamble all playing under Mike Sheron in recent weeks. Kidd has a fully fit squad to choose from for tonight's test, with Leonard and Wood expected to partner each other in attack. The midfield combination of Weston, Wharton and Adam Caddick have also been impressive in the competition so far, whilst the width has been held well by Jay Haddow and Batty, who are both likely to keep their places in the wing-back roles. All fifth round ties can be seen below: Cambridge United v Nottingham Forest AFC Bournemouth v Leicester City Liverpool v Chelsea Rovers v Sheffield Wednesday Blackpool v Newcastle United Manchester United v Everton Wolverhampton Wanderers v Tottenham Hotspur Charlton Athletic v Brighton & Hove Albion Tonight's tie must be decided on the night. Should the scores be level at the end of 90 minutes, then extra-time and penalties will determine who progresses. Kick-off is at 7pm at Ewood Park this evening. Entry is FREE to all.
