Conceding too many goals

Just can’t defend set pieces . Dropped points from them throughout the season.

Really poor how we’ve not sorted this.

Particularly when you've got an ex-Championship stalwart CB as your manager!

With all due respect to Darren, he wasn't exactly known for his Rolls-Royce abilities from the back, was he? No, he was known for being a big lump who headed it, cleared it and defended for his life.

against plymouth as good as we were going forward i could see how easily we can be exposed at the back it looked like we were only playing 1 at the back with johnson and palmer pushed forward with luongo just in front of back 4.. karl robinson knew this and easily exploited us yesterday , darren moore is every opposing managers m8 if you listen to them this season everyone of them says darren is a good guy and friend of mine.. id sooner have a manager who an opposing manager hates .

I agree with you that Karl Robinson did a job on us in the second half yesterday.

All our first half dominance going forward amounted to nothing in the end, as they completely out thought us after half time.

Teams are now wise to our defensive shortfalls.

Until we have a defence that can deal with the very basics and that has more height and heading ability, we will continue to leak goals and it is costing us, BIG time.

So frustrating, as I thought we were on a different level to Oxford for most of the first half.

Gregory & Hunt worked their socks off and Luongo was easily the best player on the pitch, again.

But it all amounted to sweet f.a. in the end............

When you’re getting outwitted by managerial genius’s like Karl Robinson and Lee Johnson then you’ve got to start questioning whether football management is the right job for you

To be fair to Moore we've had long periods where we simply haven't had anyone fit who is strong and good in the air. Tough to coach people to do this if they lack those physical attributes.

When Dunkley has been available this has been far less of an issue.

In such a very poor league with very little quality we are outdoing ourselves to help the score goals.... over halfway ghrough the season and not seen any team with any quality or on TV. The fact Moore can't organise the team well enough against such poor opposition is so bad. That alone should have already got him the sack by now!!! Even worse is knowing his lack of ability to sort us out defensively you are determined to play out from the back!!!

Chansiri yet yet yet again showing he has NOT learned the basics of football..... or he just doesn't give a f@@k and is sulking.....

Imposing playing out from the back was one of the worst things he imposed on arrival. We all like it but you need the right players to do it otherwise it is destructive , egocentric management.

Yep.

11 from 4 games. We don’t set up to defend. We place our entire game on attack. We leave our make shift back 3 constantly isolated and unprotected.

Moore’s WBA side were very similar. Always scoring but always conceding.

Unless you have wing backs who can really do the job, and it is an extremely difficult role to play, you invite trouble esp if they fancy attacking more than defending.
