With all due respect to Darren, he wasn't exactly known for his Rolls-Royce abilities from the back, was he? No, he was known for being a big lump who headed it, cleared it and defended for his life. To be fair to Moore we've had long periods where we simply haven't had anyone fit who is strong and good in the air. Tough to coach people to do this if they lack those physical attributes. The fact Moore can't organise the team well enough against such poor opposition is so bad. That alone should have already got him the sack by now!!! Even worse is knowing his lack of ability to sort us out defensively you are determined to play out from the back!!! Imposing playing out from the back was one of the worst things he imposed on arrival. We all like it but you need the right players to do it otherwise it is destructive , egocentric management. Unless you have wing backs who can really do the job, and it is an extremely difficult role to play, you invite trouble esp if they fancy attacking more than defending.
