Utah Owl
Is there any possibility that the clueless idiots in charge of the shower that is known as Sheffield Wednesday FC might one day begin to comprehend that you can't run a football club like this? 1

SiJ
Think the main concern is if he went we would be pretty light in players who can do that left wingback role effectively. He's got the pace, power to do it and do it very well. Unfortunately, our somewhat scattergun recruitment means we ended up with a number of wide players who don't really suit a 3-5-2. Anyway, fingers crossed he signs on, but I think people need to stop losing their sh*t over this one. With a big dollop of hindsight, it looks like we could have offered a longer term deal, but then I doubt we'd have many crowing on about this had the Plymouth game not happened. Worth remembering all his well publicised off the field issues and the fact people were hardly lining up around the block to take him before us.
bigdan2003
I can understand the short term contract. What I can’t understand is the way we treated the one other creative/attacking player who left a week ago
Ante's Bubbly
Has everybody calmed down yet? Daren't come on here earlier, because I can't bear the raw emotion when a poostorm hits us smack in the face. I wondered why Darren Moore winced each time the reporter mentioned how well NOML had played. We sign Berahino for ten years and NOML for ten blinkin' minutes. The Wednesday way innit! Hopefuly no-one other than Wigan will have noticed how well he played and we can convince him to stay. Show him the lovely parks, Peak District, a contract with his name on it, keep him away from what's left of the city centre and get him into the Monkeys and Hendo's. Surely he'll stay? Kentowl
According to Yorkshire live last week. The player himself told them that his contact runs to the end of the season and that Wednesday have the option of a further year.

I mean really he gets interviewed after the game on Saturday seemingly enjoying his football, enjoys playing under DM , DM then comes out saying he's found a new home here. Some of our so called fans do like a moan. I’ll start with I agree with you to an extent, the club were right to offer a short term deal and see how it went. As others have said, if only Berahino was on such a deal and we could get rid for free. Do you really think though because he said in an interview he was happy that this can be used as justification he is staying! If he came out and said ‘I’d be barmy to leave’ would that ring any alarm bells? The “so called” fans who moan are doing less harm to this club than the ones who always back the club no matter how poor they have dealt with something.

Yeah, but that's the old star innit, the new Star has NEWS about Wednesday, not just rehashes of stuff found all over the internet for the last month, a la Doom. Willie Henderson
Alf Ramsey to Rodney Marsh. "I'll be watching you for the first 45 minutes and if you don't work harder I'll pull you off at half time," to which Marsh responded: "Crikey, Alf, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea."
