Maybe the owners are happy with top 4 Maybe they think they can’t compete with City If so, they might think they can make some half decent intelligent buys and still rake in the CL money. What message does it send to others in their late 20's at the club. Mane, Van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho, Robertson etc.. Maybe Liverpool isn't the right place to end your career or spend your career. #NoReward
2soon
Liverpool's wage bill is the one of the highest in the with all the restrictions, can see it going through the roof without some sort of rejuvenation if the squad.

0wl18
They need at ask themselves who the can sign for a total cost of £60m who’ll give anywhere near the same results on the pitch. The answer is nobody. Sign him up.
SiJ
They do face the very real prospect of him moving on in 18 months time for free. Could see a Real, PSG sitting back and waiting until next Jan to put forward proposals. No big transfer fee, so can offer him the money he wants. TheBoyBeevers
I’m sure they will have their eggheads looking at the numbers, which are presumably more complex than just considering wages/resale value/cost of replacement. You have to factor in the inevitable wage hikes that their 5-7 other regulars will want too if Salah doubles his money. And their loyalty payments etc etc. And if they aren’t willing to pay those new demands, the sale values of those players and then estimated replacement costs. I hope he stays because he’s (as Ronaldo and Messi start to wane) one of- if not the- most box office players in world football at the moment. No big fee to another club - it goes to the player and agent instead
SiJ
Quite a few of their big hitters signed new deals recently too - Alisson, Van Dijk, Fabinho etc.

Kopparberg
So Salah says that he’ll be at Liverpool next season… Basically running his contract down..? Maybe he’s hoping to sign for someone else, whilst getting a ‘signing on bonus’ and massive wages. I’m actually thinking - Real Madrid
SiJ
I wonder if Mane has thought he's had enough given that all the attention has been on Salah's contract.
