Takeover ??

Indeed but to waste £200m in a little over 7 years to make the whole infrastructure of the club worse.

We have got to a point where if the team play for 90 minutes they are doing well.

Basics that should be at the ground are not there, like running hot water and kiosk that are proper stocked on match days, the megastore shop is like something from the 1990's, the training ground is where most of our players get injured not in matches, because it is not fit for purpose, the ground is crumbling, it has not been improved since the early 1990's for Euro96, the first team is half made up of other teams players and when ever we do get a youth player come through, we value them that little they leave for elsewhere.

other teams are struggling but I bet there is few in the state of apathy that we are in.

Only BPF yesterday??

He'll only sell to Red Bull if they take Elev8 off him too 😂

That's it Red Bull are so concerned that elev8,  may impact their global sales they need to spend 100m on us to protect the RB branding. DC master plan....well done chairman.  😉

"Come on you Blue and White Red Bull Owls" is a bit of a mouthful and a tad confusing, tho'?

On a serious note, would there be more deserving causes for such a massive investment in the English League alone? Red Bull don't do it by halves so wouldn't they be looking at clubs already "established" in a higher league or a better potential to reach that status quicker than Wednesday... maybe the likes of Burnley, Leeds, Middlesbrough, Watford, Norwich, etc?

Given our experiences of investment versus FFP, it's not a foregone conclusion that anyone can buy out DC and make it a successful club in the Championship or PL.

You could have said the same about Leipzig.

1) They take the marketing angle extremely seriously:  Red Bull Owls fits.

2) They want to invest in 'heritage brands with history' - Sheffield being the birthplace of world soccer is important.

3) Passionate fanbase, with global reach.

4) Large catchment area to increase sales - Sheffield fits from an adrenaline sports POV with it being positioned as the 'outdoors city'.

5) Academy - a large part of the England team come from South Yorkshire - there is a huge potential pipeline of talent in the area but Sheffield Wednesday in current state is non attractive in terms of attracting the cream of the cream - investment in infrastructure and being an established Premier League club (plus the lure of the RB brand) PLUS the ability for players to get experience of overseas secondments within the global Red Bull network would change this.

6) Pipeline of players which could be loaned in from other RB clubs mean we would be a lot more effective at player transfers in and out without overpaying - this in my opinion would be the single biggest short term benefit in terms of overhauling our current playing squad to gain promotion to Champ and then start to compete for a Prem place - loanees from Leipzig/ Salzberg/ NY.

If I were Chansiri I would have built out a presentation aimed at potential buyers focusing in on the above.

Short term - yes we look a bit of a risk.  With the right long term investment and plan the potential is frightening which is why someone like RB would look at it.

Where's this obsession come from about Redbull?  As far as I know they have never enquired about the club or are even aware of its existence.

That's obvious .. isn't it. If we ever would sell up, it hast to be to Redbull:

Red Bull gives you wings..... we are the Owl's and currently are struggling to fly, so we need new wings... Sorted!

And part of the colour scheme works image.png.1ee7953fe34e20f7a6236dea792c627a.png   (kind of).  At least they could easily change it to blue and white stripes:

😁😉
