markg
25 million is a fair price I think. Easy worth it if he keeps them up and if not he'll score plenty to help them to promotion.
TheEnchanter
Leeds signed Wood the same year we wasted money on Abdi, Dave Jones, Rhodes etc and he scored 30 goals for them. That annoys me still.
FreshOwl
Burnley are in a relegation battle with Newcastle . Not sure why they’ve sanctioned this, unless they’ve got someone lined up
HIGHERSTATE
Could be a shrewd bit of business..It's not a hell of a lot of money for a proven premier goal scorer. Not as if they have to negotiate the cost. Thread will be worth re-visiting in May.

FlyingOwl
Theres potential that the combo of Trippier and Wood will keep them up. That said, I dunno why they didn’t spend the money on Ben Brereton
scram
Newcastle have a problem because although Callum Wilson is a very good player - he's rarely available I suppose Wood gives them another string to their bow with his style
BIG D
Decent signing for where they are. Way overpriced though but that was the release clause.

He's been off the boil lately as Burnley have gone into freefall, not because he's lost any form. He's only getting half chances set up for him He's not going to win matches by himself; he needs an effective support team and there's not been much evidence that Newcastle have that right now
legendaryswan
If Bruce had signed Chris Wood the magies fans would be seething.

0wl18
25m to take your main relegation rivals main man. Cornet is on international duty too. Worth the fee just for the impact it has on Burnley.

bigash_swfc
It's a fascinating game. Premier League fixtures this weekend pit all the positional rivals against each other. Man City vs. Chelsea. Tottenham vs. Arsenal Newcastle vs. Watford Norwich vs. Everton Aston Villa vs. Man Utd Huge games for either end of the table. Says something when the premier league is more unmissable than watching your own club.
2soon
Very good signing for Newcastle. Scored around one in three for Burnley who don't create a tonne of chances. Should be able to partner Wilson as well if he ever stays fit for a prolonged period.
