Look at the squad we have and the players currently at our disposal

Who would you say can get the ball and smash it into the back of the net and get us the goals we need?

Gregory - yes definitely but only if he gets service

Windass - what's happening with this kid? All I see is him spouting some reight Sheeeeeeite on twitter these days

Anyone else?

From this squad?. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Exactly.

Gregory is a solid option in this division, even at his age, but beyond that I think we were hoping Windass would stay fit or Berahino would rediscover his form.

So far, neither have happened.

The thing I don't get is that Moore clearly recruited for a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with the likes of Corbeanu and Shodipo, but we failed to add the key component of either system: a front man who's comfortable playing up there on his own.

Whether we tried and failed due to the restrictions we're operating under, I don't know. But it's hamstrung our season massively.

This, we need a strong forward in the Smith role at Rotherham and a pacey forward.

Gregory, Kamberi, Windass and Paterson are all capable of providing the goals. Blimey Paterson got 12 in a relegated Championship side last season. You should expect even more in a lower division.

Its the turgid style of play with such slow build up that’s so easy to defend against that’s the problem. By the time we’ve passed the ball sideways and back around our defence and midfield a dozen times even League 1 defenders are set rigidly into shape and our forwards man marked.

Our set pieces are unimaginative and our throw ins usually concede possession to opponents.

Paterson scored 9 in the championship last season and Windass has barely played.

Moore’s not the best manager by any means but do you geniunely think another manager would come in and be ripping up the league with Berahino, Paterson, Kamberi, Sow and Shodipo?

Paterson's goal tally seems to be getting higher by the day!

:duntmatter:

He scored eight goals in the Championship last season.

Berahino looks a lost cause to me. Don’t know about Sow ‘cos I’ve only ever seen a few minutes of him on the pitch but Gregory, Windass Kamberi Shodipo and Paterson will score goals if provided with the service.
That’s not to say we shouldn’t be looking for better. But you know what? That better striker  is nigh on impossible to find if you ca’t pay a fee and you have a reputation for mismanaging loan players.

Tyreece John-Jules  - welcome to the club. We need you!

Your right but try convincing some on here who are saying where would he play with such a high scoring prolific forrward line. We do need defenders but we also need something different up front what might bag a few extra goals.

Why not Kamberi?

He's scored every other game, despite playing half of them on the left wing.

He can lead the line on a 4231, or pair with any one of the other players in 352. Grafts for 90 minutes, is unselfish, makes loads of space and opportunities for others.

Just needs a run in the side.

When he plays we cross earlier, move more, play higher up the pitch.

We've had the answer all season, just refused to use him.

BTW, why does every list start with Gregory and...

He's our 4th best striker by goals per minute and massively hampers the way we play.

Let two from Kamberi, Windass, Sow or the new lad play, and watch our chances and goals go up.
