sheffield_dave Posted January 5, 2022 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Premier League U23 sides need to be kicked out of the EFL Trophy, with the whole thing scrapped if necessary, and the clubs told in no uncertain terms that their kids teams playing anywhere in the competitive league structure is dead as an idea. The footballing authorities need to properly take account of this. IMHO, kicking clubs out of competitions because they can’t fulfil fixtures due to COVID shows the sport in a bad light externally and is bad for its reputation.
