I could cope with the manager being sacked if that's what had to happen

I could cope with that

I could cope with Chansiri making a change to try and ignite the season

I could

I could cope with it

But I know for a 100% FACT that I could not cope with what would come next

First it would be the 'Big's that are suggested by our fans

"Big Sam"
"Big Ron"
"Big Jim"
"Big Mick"

Then it would (as it always does) move onto

Why not give it Waddle? He knows the club
Why not give it John Sheridan? He knows the club
Why not give it Ryan Lowe? He knows the club
Why not give it xxxxxxxxxxx insert ex player here xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ? He knows the club

Then it would be

Why not give Neil Warnock the job till the end of the season

Give it Holloway till the end of the season

That's bad enough

But then we'd also get stuff like....

Get Carlos Back

Get Gary Megson back

For months

Months it would go on with some of our fans doing the above all day every day

I 100% could NOT cope with THAT again

better than people saying give it to Bullen and Thompson 😝

Nothing is going to really change until the structure of the club is changed.

As a club we seem to breed failure and apathy

Sure we might get short term results by replacing the manager, but long term that's just cutting one head off the hydra and two more will grow back in it's place

I don't think we should get anyone 'back' mate!

Either manager or player

We should switch to looking forward instead of the usual Sheffielder ways of wanting the hole in the road back

Move on, move forward, think positively, work positively and come away from the old people and the old ways

We won't though

Sheffielders just want everything to go back to 1977

lol

Thing is, he wasn't actually doing any better in the Championship with 'Boro than Moore is doing with us in L1.

If DM went today, I wouldn't shed any tears. My real concern is that his replacement wouldn't be any better, and may even be worse. And whatever people say, there are definitely worse managers than Darren Moore out there.

There seems to be a school of thought that all we need is a new manager to re-ignite our season. But any new manager would inherit the same problems Moore has.

But he might play players in their proper positions and might be able to motivate them better.

It's a mighty difficult job.

Someone might be capable.

Chansiri MIGHT even get summat right one day.

We could change from being Massive to Mighty

I really don't know who fixes this rabble and what any manager we could attract does. A normal manager that is needed that has experience of building winning teams at this level on a budget is what I would want, but I'm fairly certain that any of those would fail to manage the group of highly paid players that we have.

Couldn't you go down the tried and tested route ?

*Logs on to Owlstalk

*Sees a thread suggesting barmy managers

*Doesn't click on said thread

* Carries on coping

Doesn't work  -  trust me.

The manager changing posts hide in every thread and they appear under various names

Will they ever be though?

interesting thought racking my brains as to when any manager hasn't had to cope with injuries, it's part of the job, coaching and recognising talent in the reserves and god forbid play them instead of sending your useless mates on the pitch

There won’t be a new manager coming in this season IMO. DM has the next three games to save his job. Assuming we lose all three he’ll be on his way just as the transfer window closes. At that point Thompson will be given the caretaker job and we will drift along towards a mid table finish. Then some random appointment is made in the close season and we cross our fingers they are a bit better.

The only way things will be any different is if Luongo and Windas stay fit. Which I can’t see happening but you never know. Then we might get something out of the next three games and DM stays with us for a bit longer.
