Nope. Not at all. What's remotely memorable about coming from 3-1 down and having your ageing and not especially mobile goalkeeper score a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser in front of The Kop?

Feel like he was one of the last of a dying breed of keeper back then. Big, chunky, great shot stopper, surprisingly agile, could smash a ball a mile but couldn't pass 5 yards. That keeper at Burnley who they called the beast was the same.

 

Loved that header, just smashed everyone out of his way and nutted it in, surprised there wasn't more broken bones.

 

And the cone assisted goal kicks 🤣🤣

Your right proper keeper, he knew his job was to own the box and use his hands. No pretence that he was meant to be good with his feet and mess about passing it back and forth  to defenders.

I remember watching him hobble up for the corner and moaning about how if they get the ball from this corner they’d be nailed on to score.

 

Ended up about 4 rows in front when he hit the back of the net, then went straight into Hillsborough and got absolutely smashed.
