Daniele Giovanni
Certainly he'd get our crocks ready for action in no time. There's too many injuries, it's been like this a few years now
BIG D
He helped me to get my knee sorted out a couple of years ago so anything’s possible. Worth paying to see him (was actually cheaper than my usual physio) for the chat.
bradowl
His lad Paul isn't a bad physio either. He might buy me a pint now on Saturday at Crewe for saying that.

Daniele Giovanni
Whenever he was running to a player whilst on England duty, the commentator "That's Alan Smith the Sheffield Wednesday physio" so proud I was. 8

Looked at the other physio who was standing over him doing nowt. They gave up and took the player off without further treatment. If they are short of a sticking plaster in the training bag then things are getting really bad.

matthefish2002
Think many people said Alan Smith was Howard Wilkinsons best signing. Was ahead of his time when a lot of clubs just employed a sponge man,

daveyboy66
Alan was a top bloke...rehabbed me after my cruciate ligament replacement and always took time to chat when I was in the gym down at Hillsborough after my op despite having Ian Knight and all those other players out injured at the time. CircleSeven
I loved watching him sprint onto the pitch with his bandy legs going ten to the dozen. He could really shift and his bag never seemed to slow him down!

Ray Von shabba
Met him a couple of times back stage so to speak at Hillsborough. Came across as a very nice bloke. We could also do with a fitness trainer like the ex Royal Marines Commando Tony Toms again. Professional footballers are too pampered these days.
shandypants
I went to Alan Smith when an opposing player broke my ankle and ruptured all of the ankle ligaments with a reckless challenge. I went to him for a few month. He’s a nice fella but I must admit that I wasn’t impressed with the level of treatment he gave me. I’ve had better from other physios. The problem was that I couldn’t move on because my insurance had paid for a large block of appointments with him. They say to never meet your heroes. That definitely was the case for me.
